Last week we were invited to the ‘Shwop Lab’ in collaboration with Marks & Spencers and London College of Fashion’s Centre For Sustainable Fashion. The purpose of the pop-up space at the Old Truman Brewery was to explore the future of fashion through a series of collaborations with the UK’s leading lights in sustainable fashion and design. The results…a collection of outfits made entirely from donated clothes and more importantly the ushering of a possible revolution in the fashion industry.

Ever wondered if you had a hidden talent…I am still convinced my dormant telekinesis abilities will blossom any second now. American Express teams up with Channel 4 to launch new series Hidden Talent which airs it first episode this Tuesday 24th @ 9pm on Channel 4. I was invited down to take part in a few challenges and test my hidden talent theory, check out the video on the reverse.

We were invited by the fabulous folks at Topman to attend the opening of their second General Store in Seven Dials, Convent Gardens. The minimalistic concept shop contains an edited selection of key Topman pieces, Topman Designs and Topman Limited spread across two floors. Check out some visuals from the store and some impromptu Street Style snaps

It’s that time of the year where my productivity at work decreases by 27%…It must mean the announcement of Sony’s World Photography Awards. Photography is a passion and hobby for many however the majority like myself have never considered the thought of pursuing a career in the field. The World Photography Organisation (WPO) supports professional (and more importantly), amateur and student photography by lending a global platform to showcase their work in photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography. On Tuesday 20th March the Open & Youth category winners, Moving Image/3D Award Shortlist and the Tate Collectives competition winners were announced. Check out my favourites after the break.

Last night Sorapol Chawaphatnakul, former LCF student, showcased his AW12 Collection ‘Iron Grip’ and we were invited to cover the launch by the lovely folks at BLOW PR. The well suited venue for the show was the ‘Old Vic Tunnels’ a series of underground tunnels beneath Waterloo Station which was also used as an underground cinema to screen the UK premiere of Banksy’s film ‘Exit through the Gift Shop’. The decent through the tunnel’s arched ceilings completely covered in graffiti (or as I like to term Street Art) combined with the eerie shadows cast by the spotlights meant myself and the crowd of guests at the drink reception including Boy George, Maxi Jazz and Christian Jessen were buzzing to see the collection…We were not disappointed.
