A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane ride felt extremely long. Probably due to the fact that we were seated apart and I was placed in the middle of a family who proceeded to talk and pass tings across me but that’s another story) over to Florida was required as the ship was to set sail from Port Canaveral just outside of Orlando.

Ending The Summer with Corona | #THISISLIVING http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/09/26/corona-thisisliving/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/09/26/corona-thisisliving/#comments Mon, 26 Sep 2016 07:15:15 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56096 It wasn’t a bad Summer, right? It just passed far, far too quick. Seems like only yesterday we kickstarted our Summer with WILDLIFE festival, enjoying some good vibes, good music, and with good people. When Corona hit us up asking if we wanted to end our Summer in the same way, it would have been rude to refuse. Finishing off their #CORONASUNSETS series down in Newquay, we jumped on a plane (yes, a plane) and joined our friends at Corona to celebrate the end of Summer in style at one of the most incredible coastal locations in the UK. This was a weekend to remember. This is how Corona do things. This is living.

Through the Lens: Marrakech http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/09/06/marrakech/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/09/06/marrakech/#comments Tue, 06 Sep 2016 07:00:22 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56087 Everyone needs a holiday every so often. Of course, that ‘holiday’ can come in many forms, but I guess the key theme is that of a break from the norm. To do something different, to relax, to turn up, and to unwind. A short holiday I had this year was to Marrakech, and asides from being a much needed break from the norm and break away from the stresses of work I was going through, it was the chance to explore somewhere completely different and new to what I ever have before. Though the trip was short, it ended up being somewhere that left an imprint on me - visually and culturally. I took a few shots on the short trip and have a few recommendations for anyone thinking to check our the Moroccan city.

Living That WILD LIFE http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/06/20/wild-life/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/06/20/wild-life/#comments Mon, 20 Jun 2016 07:15:39 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56073 Believe it or not, summer has started. That means barbecues, shorts and tees, beer gardens, and, of course, festival season. WILD LIFE Festival was our first this year, and being the types who value experiences, we immersed ourselves within the buzzing crowds to share the action from the festival-goers perspective.

Summer Escapism http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/06/11/summer-escapism/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/06/11/summer-escapism/#comments Sat, 11 Jun 2016 12:52:05 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56060 Summer is here, right? Who knows in London. Still, it’s that time of the year to enjoy this city to the most. By that we mean getting the hell out of here. Kidding… Kinda. This weekend we’re in Brighton covering WILD LIFE Festival. We count that as the kick start of summer. With that said, it gave us some time to look forward to the summer ahead and what we’re setting out for. We outchea.

Capture Moments Every Day http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/05/07/capturing-moments/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/05/07/capturing-moments/#comments Sat, 07 May 2016 19:43:51 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56044 Yo. *holds up hands* we’ve been busy (quiet on here). Man, it’s tough these days. It’s easy to get lost in the day. Caught up in the routine. Too often we’re finding this out lately as we become busier and busier with our personal lives that the amount of time we can commit to Y&Y is falling. Career changes, moves abroad and life getting in the way. This’ll change soon though, so watch this space. In the meantime, Samsung and Three UK approached us last month (yes, that’s how behind we are on things) asking if we’d like to take the new Samsung Galaxy S7 for a spin. I’m a bit of a tech lover myself, but I’ve never liked Samsung phones nor has Y&Y done much in the tech space. Still, it gave us an opportunity to talk about something we strive to do when in our creative bubble. Capture those moments that mean something to you, every day. And the beauty of a great camera on a mobile phone is that it becomes so much easier to do so.

Exploring a Millennial Dilemma http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/03/15/exploring-a-millennial-dilemma/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/03/15/exploring-a-millennial-dilemma/#comments Tue, 15 Mar 2016 08:00:27 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56024 It’s been a very long time since the site has seen a truly personal post, since one of us has shared how we’re really feeling. It’s been almost two years since Yin published, Losing Your Equilibrium, which I remember impacting me greatly when I first read it, one of the lessons he imparted upon us was to ‘Be energised by what you do.’ At a time when I don’t feel particularly energised, let’s return to that idea, hopefully this’ll be cathartic for me and in sharing my feelings I can put some other people at ease by letting them know they’re not alone.

Your Story | Raleigh Ritchie http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/23/your-story-raleigh-ritchie/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/23/your-story-raleigh-ritchie/#comments Tue, 23 Feb 2016 08:00:44 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56011 While the name Jacob Anderson might not ring bells immediately, Raleigh Ritchie most likely does and if you’re a Game of Thrones fan then Grey Worm, commander of the Unsullied, might even be his most familiar alter ego. Fortunately Grey Worm was no where to be found and we met the man somewhere between Raleigh and Jacob to talk life, music, videos, acting and his debut album, You’re a Man Now, Boy.

Through the Lens | 24 Hours in NYC http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/17/24-hours-nyc/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/17/24-hours-nyc/#comments Wed, 17 Feb 2016 08:00:21 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=56001 Layovers/stop offs during a trip can sometimes be lengthy. Lengthy enough to actually go out and explore? Probably not. But on a rare occasion it can happen. That rarity meaning caught in a hurricane on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean off of the Carolina coast, and having to turn back around to where you started - New York City. A story for the grandkids, but for now, here’s a shorter story of two half-day stop offs in NYC either side of a cruise from hell.

An Evening With Joel Baker http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/10/an-evening-with-joel-baker/ http://yinnyang.co.uk/2016/02/10/an-evening-with-joel-baker/#comments Wed, 10 Feb 2016 08:00:44 +0000 http://yinnyang.co.uk/?p=55993 If you don’t recognise Joel it might be because he’s changed his hair style since the last time we spoke, it’s been almost three years since we sat down for our first Conversation With Joel Baker and like each of us he’s been on a journey and come a long way in that time. As positive and energetic as always, the Nottingham born musician takes us back to where it all began and tells us why his latest musical offering, Bran Flakes Vol. 1, sees a noticeable change to his sound. You could even call him a rapper now…
