We’ve teamed up with American Express again, headline sponsor of the 55th BFI London Film Festival, to offer two lucky readers and a guest the chance to be one of the first to see Bernie on Saturday 22nd October, 6.15 at the Vue cinema in Leicester Square. All you have to do is answer a stupidly simple question after the cut. The answer is in fact in the copy on the reverse.

I’ve been blogging for just over two years, over on musicshewrote, as well as contributing to web magazines and music websites in the way of interviews and event reviews. But, upon graduating in Law in 2010, travelling to Nepal to live, teach & learn and now, working full time in social media (as well as being involved in some side projects); time has taken a major toll.

Life has been crazy and hectic. A week ago I was in Rome and now 148 hours later…I’m sitting here in my room after completing the first week of my graduate job. For those who haven’t read my previous personal posts, I’ve started work as a social media/digital marketing executive. It’s just a title, I get to dab my hands into more creative/design stuff at the agency as well. This first week has been somewhat amazing but a lot of new challenges have been thrown in my direction. More on the reverse.

I first mentioned Parade on a post I had previously written. The interview we did earlier in the year with the band is finally here. The first single ‘Louder’ peaked at number 10 on the UK top 40 and now the girls are back with second single ‘Perfume’ which is out now and can be purchased it here. Have a look at the interview with the beautiful ladies and the video for new single ‘Perfume’ after the cut.

We’re off to Roma in around 15 hours. I have just about finished packing my main luggage, hand luggage will have to wait til tomorrow as I need to pack my Macbook Pro last. I’m going to keep this post short and sweet as I need to konk out real soon. We’ll be in the Eternal City for 7 days….and I mean we as in me, Yang and a few of our university friends. So less posts from us, maybe one a day till we get back. You know bloggers don’t really get a day of even on holiday so if the internet isn’t effed up then we’ll do photo recap posts from our Roma activities. We’ll be interviewing the Pope on Sunday. Hold tight. #gassed.

It’s fair to say that Yin&Yang has changed my life in many ways and all for the better (I hope!). I would like to think that our personal growth in our lives has been directly proportional to the growth and development of the site. One of the many things that has changed in our lives is our personal style. If I’m honest, I wouldn’t ever go back to wearing the matching sneakers/hoody/cap/tee look in the near future. It’s just not relevant anymore.

17 days till me, Yang, DJB and Brady finish off our degrees once and for all. I should be focusing on work instead of writing posts on here but hey, got to feed the loyal readers. My never-ending procrastination resulted in me creating a Tumblr blog and linking it to my dormant Niran7.com domain. Swag. More on the reverse.
