This post should have been up a month ago, I received the product around then but have seriously procrastinated and been incredibly busy. Mine and Yang‘s schedules clash, the only time we’d have time to do the shoot are evenings but usually we’re DEAD by that point. So today, we actually decided to meet at 6 on the dot outside my work and get not one but 2 shoots done. 6 hours later, the photographs have been edited and posts have been written + published. That’s how we do, if only we were able to do this everyday. Trust me, original content is getting a big push when the new site is up. This post features a pair of glasses, it would have been a review post but there is near to nothing information on the brand Freccione. Gosh such an elusive Italian brand, Google gives me nada. *cries* Welcome to adulthood. Hope you have an awesome blessed birthday! in fact I hope you’ve taken a day off to enjoy your birthday properly and I know you’re like me when it comes to birthdays ‘just another day’. This year I realised its much more than that. I’m not going to get emo and sentimental in this post, I’ll save that for another time. I actually tried to get in touch with Alexandra Burke‘s people but bleugh, I got aired nicely. Only you will know the photograph I used above, look closely haha. HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!

‘Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had, and what you’ve learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.’ Click here

Graduation

posted in yin&yang by Yin

This week has been so blessed, too blessed to be stressed by work. Started off hectic with 2 of my senior colleagues leaving to go on holiday so I’m doing a lot more work a very important account. Thursday marked the end of the best eras of my life yet – university. I was quite apprehensive about spending £250+ on the actual ceremony; tickets, suit and photograph. It was definitely worth it. We Passed!

posted in yin&yang by Yin

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail. I’m not sure who said that famous quote but I distinctly remember it from one of my secondary school classrooms. The teacher always used to warn us before a major exam and I clearly never learnt my lesson.. Yesterday morning I failed my theory test. To my defence, I only remembered I had a test at 7pm the night before and even then I was slack. I revised using one of the free iPhone apps which clearly didn’t cover all the questions that came up. Assuming my exam was at 9:30am, I got up at 7 to do some last minute cramming. However – needed to check up the location of the test centre to find out my test is at 8:30am. Screwed. *Runs to the top of Mount. Everest and screams* YES! It’s over. 3 years of university education and a plethora of student loans later. This feeling of freedom is indescribable, such a huge relief. All the work was done, even if it meant me not sleeping the past few days & nights. Honestly it’s been a journey and a half – full of ups and of course downs. I could write a dissertation the whole thing if I wanted to, BA Creative Advertising Strategy Class of 2011 – this post is for you. Hop after the cut.

Next Chapter…

posted in other by DJB

When one chapter ends another one begins. During most fictional readings and even those hard hitting autobiographies as a reader we experience high and lows and that’s what keeps us gripped. Well I can say I have had one of those weeks where emotions have been scattered all over the place as if somebody was playing pinball with my life.
