Right. That project I’ve been talking about for a while? I completed my part last night, guess what that means? More posts from me and hopefully way more original content on the site from this day forth. Starting off with a bag from a brand that I’ve been fond of for a while now, Whillas & Gunn, Our friends over at My-Wardrobe just started selling the brand‘s A/W collection on their site earlier this week and my materialistic ways made me instantly purchase a canvas bag. I own more bags than my girlfriend, not sure if that’s a good thing but hey I’m a guy with sartorial needs.

This Australian brand has been featured on the site on numerous occasions. However I’m yetl to make my first purchase from them, this is mainly due to the fact much of their products aren’t stocked in the country. I do have some good news, our friends over at My-Wardrobe will have some of their A/W 2010 – you guys should definitely look out for the bags on offer. Whillas & Gunn have already unveiled a lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2011 season. They’ve continued with the Australian ‘heritage‘ vibe here with streetwear influences with a functional take on tailored clothing. The lookbook portrays classic formal pieces mixed with utilitarian touches – button downs, waist coats lightweight trenchcoat, canvas bags and more. Continues after the cut.

This should have been up a lot sooner but better late than never right! We went down to Eastcastle street where Mywardrobe held press day for their AW11 collection. Nice and simple collection this time, I was most into the bags and the jackets. I recently developed a liking for Barbour so was expecting to see some pieces from them but I didn’t see any. We took loads of photos from the collection, I’ll kick of with the jackets.

Since that start of 2010 I’ve found myself wearing a lot more neutral and earthy tone clothes, I don’t really know why but my taste has changed. I still wear bright colour sneakers but I can’t bring myself around to wearing all the bright bold graphic design tees I used to. I’ve grown up, more refined look with plain tees and neutral tones. Plus this year it’s all about accessorising! my backpack doesn’t suit my attire at all anymore, I still haven’t bought a replacement yet but I like the look of these. More after cut.
