I try to steer clear from posting brands that are difficult to acquire in the UK but you know for sure you’d whip out the extra shipping costs for an exceptional product. The BKc is one of those brands that constantly deliver clothing of a very high standard with lookbooks to match its quality. Although I’m not sure if any of the looks styled in this collection are adequate for Spring weather, a little too much layering. I’d be sweating like a fat man’s arse. How dope is that tweed/herringbone biker jacket with leather sleeves?! I’ve never seen such a fusion before but it works so well with the rest of fairly smart outfit. Incredible. Main reason for posting the collection? I’m actually going to be visiting the BK store in a month’s time as I’m moving to NYC then. More on the reverse.

Topman have been dropping previews of their Spring/Summer lookbook via Facebook albums over the past week and as usual with the retailer offer a plethora of trends. Whatever your style, Topman usually have something for you. So easy to tell that the refined varsity will be the item that everyone Tom, Dick & Harry that shops there will be wearing. Some of the looks are still somewhat suspect but a hell of an improvement on the previous two lookbooks that DJB posted in a month ago – click here & here. Majorly fond of the patterned tees and shirts but the florals and pastel colours, no thanks. A little too feminine for my liking, hop on after the cut to see the rest of the collection. Right off to work I go!

Just seen a nice range of Varsity Jackets from Franklin & Marshall, haven’t worn a varsity jacket in a long while but now it’s getting warmer. I like these because they’re quite simple, I don’t like these kind of jackets with too much detail- I like the F&M logo though. They come in a nice range of colours including, red, blue and grey- Blue being the best in my opinion. Check these out after the cut.

2 days ago I was lucky enough to go to Cassette Playa‘s Fall/Winter LFW showcase at BFC Showspace in Somerset House. For someone who’s a fashion insider, it was my first ever time attending a catwalk show at the famous home of London Fashion Week. It was quite an experience to be honest, I wasn’t expecting to be surrounded by folks who would put Lady Gaga to shame. The worst one was a guy in a long orange dress, blonde weave and a fake LATEX mask. Yeh, talk about taking individuality a little too seriously. Moving on, designer Carri Munden gives us another collection full of graphic prints, patterns, metallics and vibrant colours. Continues on the reverse.

Sexy. Ya’ll already know I’m a fan of the Nike Sportswear Destroyer Jackets but none have made me want to fork out £300. It’s mainly because there are so many black on black varsity jackets available on the market. I have yet to see a colourway like this for the iconic piece; it comes in a black wool body, beige leather sleeves as well as beige detailing. It’s insulated like all Destroyer jackets so it’s perfect for the remaining winter months. I’ll have to get back to you on a release date but it says Spring 2011 so I’m guessing any time now. Head to your local NSW store.

I don’t really wear much sportswear any more but I would certainly eff with this Destroyer jacket. I wanted last season’s drop but it released around the time I was saving for my New York trip and this new pack is also extortionate. It’s a continuation from Nike’s ‘Destroy To Create‘ event that took place at Nike’s 1948 space in Shoreditch; “the jacket is complimented by an original, hand-signed and numbered print from Harry Malt incorporating a destroyed image of The Gallows’ incredible live performance at 1948; as well as a beautifully crafted metal pin badge designed by Duffy, who made a similar version by melting down parts of one of Mark Cavendish’s bikes” – hmm, ok then. I love it, the premium leather detailing and the red typography just tops it all off. It’s going to be retailing at £300 – pricey? but only 35 available so you definitely know many people won’t be rocking it. More on the flipside.

Nike Sportswear Varsity Jacket campaign has finally reached London after stopping in Tokyo and New York. Just like the other cities’ campaigns Nike have used upcoming and influential personalities from London to promote the jacket. I have loved most of their previously released varsity jackets and these are no exception. The jacket is beautifully put together combining the traditional elements of a letterman jacket with a touch of Nike ACG’s techniques and executions. More info and photos on the flipside.
