I’ve actually got a fair few tunes for you this time. The post was delayed mainly because of the Y&Y one year celebrations and I spent most of yesterday recovering from the night. I’ll kick start off things with the final version of Quincy Jones‘ Secret Garden 2010 version featuring Usher, Robin Thicke, Tyrese Gibson, LL Cool J, Tevin Campbell & Barry White. We all love music in some way be it the R&B, Hip-Hop genre or the Rock, Indie, Heavy Metal genres, we all enjoy listening to our favourite artists. As we admire the person that is pushed to the forefront and presented to us do we stop to take the time and look behind surface and admire the talent of those in the background? Many may not know him by name but you will have most definitely come across one of his songs, Rico Love is one of the most sought after songwriters/producer in the music industry today and I think it’s time that he gets his shine. Beautiful. I don’t think I’ve posted much dance videos on the site or ever expressed how much I like contemporary, it’s my favourite dance form. Surprising ey? You would think Hip-Hop would have been my favourite. The choreography created by Scotty Nguyen and Tracy Shibata is dope, just takes the song to a whole new level. The video is so well shot and edited, in fact I think Scotty did it all himself. The whole dancing on walls thing had me confused for a whole minute! peep it after the cut.
This weeks Shoula Woulda Coulda features songs from Rihanna, Fergie, 112 and Usher. All tracks are taken from albums from 2005 or after so you may be familiar with them already but for those who aren’t I hope you enjoy.
Back by popular demand and by that I mean I wanted to revisit this post as I enjoyed writing it the first time round lol. For those who didn’t read this feature which I posted two weeks ago, Shoulda Woulda Coulda features songs that got overlooked during the single selection process. I aim to give such songs their shinning light as I feel that had they been released they could have potentially become hits. This post has definitely turned into a fortnightly thing now! I don’t download as many songs as I used to so it’s best to wait a bit before I have a decent collection to share.
