While we strut around town trying to shelter every inch of our bodies from the cold, the fashion world stays steady releasing images and lookbook’s of their impending summer collections. Yesterday it was the turn of Tom Ford and his 2012 Spring/Summer Collection. The lookbook, shot by Ford himslef, showcases his signature tailoring and classic aesthetic. I particularly like the spotted blazers with the thick lapels as seen above, I may even have to delve into my non existent stash and purchase upon release. Peep the full lookbook, which includes linen suits, 50′s styled ties, crocodile John moccasins and some tighter than tight swimming shorts (im not here for those shorts), on the flipside.

I know this has been circulating the interweb for the past day or two and I’m sure most of you have already seen it but I just had to share those of you who haven’t come across it. I spent most of my day relaxing and getting reacquainted with my ps3 before watching this Tom Ford documentary. Remember Oprah’s Masterclass? This a spin-off on that series. This episode features renowned fashion designer, film director and creative genius Tom Ford – the documentary takes us back to his humble beginnings in Texas, NYU days and how he went from there to impacting the fashion worldwide. Tom’s never let anyone into his studio before so this was quite intriguing to see the man at work, his perfectionist ways were inspiring to watch. He’s a workaholic ‘if I’m awake, I’m working’…jeez. Must work harder! doc on the reverse.

Legendary American fashion designer and film director Tom Ford has created a list of 15 items to mark Vogue‘s 15 years of Vogue.com. His list consists of essentials that every man must have, I have almost everything in this list. Modern Man. This list consists of various products; laughter, shoes, tweezers, cologne, shirts, blazers, suits, underwear – the whole shabang. Enhance your life with Tom’s suggestions, allow the low batty bootleg jeans and air force ones. More on the flipside.

Once again Nicholas Hoult (of Skins Fame) poses alongside a fine looking model for what seems to be a new found relationship between he and Tom Ford. This time round it is turn of this lovely Danish supermodel, who (judging by these pictures) obviously has no problem with baring skin for her profession. A trait that we here at Y&Y appreciate. . Peep some more shots from the campaign after the cut…
