“And there came a day unlike any other…” This opening line to the Avengers comic books was also spoken by Samuel L. Jackson when the cast of the Avengers was first unveiled at Comic-Con almost two years ago. Marvel’s ambitious superhero team-up has been four years in the making and has spanned five films, but now it’s finally upon us. Make no mistake about it; Avengers Assemble marks an unprecedented event. Just like the team itself, there are so many reasons why it should not work. And yet, director Joss Whedon & co have managed to surpass all the lofty expectations and deliver not only one of the greatest superhero films ever made, but one of the best blockbusters in recent memory.

‘Because if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it!’. Damn right! what a movie, watched it a few hours ago with our resident film critic, Amon. He’s already seen it twice and the films not out for another week! that’s how you know it’s worth the wait. W+K produced this incredible design for the gate fold insertion in Entertainment Weekly for retailer Target. Using a plethora of everyday objects that you could find in your local Target (A stateside Tesco equivalent) including action figures, batteries, drinks and more. The attention to detail is mind-boggling, great creative direction from Guy Seese. See the rest of the set on the reverse.

OKSNDJAKBDNKSABHDSA = my reaction. I’m at work, should be doing work but thought I’d give ya’ll a quick post on the new Avengers teaser trailer that premiered at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger movie. Bit of a spoiler but hey, it saves you having to sit through the credits. I’m pretty sure there will be a better quality version dropping next week at San Diego’s Comic Con. Have a gander at the trailer on the reverse. If it gets taken down, let me know! Right back to work….
