So this brand reached out to me via my personal Facebook inbox and because they’re not friends with me on there, the messages get displayed under ‘other’ which means you don’t get notified. Fortunately for me, my geeky social networking addiction led me to opening up the message and checking out the collection. I was definitely impressed with what I saw and for a collection of print tees to grab my attention in such a way – they’ve got to be something special. The typography choices, layout and simplicity of the overall design is what attracted me. On top of that, they’ve got a story/reason to why they’ve started the brand which is an added bonus, more on the reverse.

So Boyce inbox’d my earlier this week to congratulate me on my graduation and give me a heads up on his latest collectables drop called ‘Wake Up’. For me, it’s the best collection from him yet, it looks so complete. According to this post – he’s been working on them for a while and the collection maybe small but when did quantity matter? It’s all about the quality and Suffoca always delivers that. He’s based the collection around childhood memories that each represent a story, more info in a quote on the reverse. The set features stickers, a coin holder, the prosper pack, wishbone vest, wilfred tee and from the looks of it a notebook as well. Continues after the cut.

Ah I’m proud of young Gabriel. The 17-year old started independent clothing company Origin London last year, released a logo tee to get the name out there and this summer, they are back with four limited edition t-shirts and an exhibition. At 17 years old, all I cared about was football, females and probably under-aged alcohol consumption? This kid already has a venture and direction, I was clueless. For this 2nd drop, he’s teamed up with UK art collectives TIMC (This Is My Costume) and Puck to produce this collection. More on the reverse.

The good folk over at Passarella Death Squad have unveiled some of their t-shirts from the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Guess photographed them? Yours truly. Well me and my girlfriend, she’s a handy assistant and an exceptional photographer. We shot this inside an arcade so it tied in with the tees – they take inspiration from old school video games such as Donkey Kong and Mario. The classics from NES/SNES days! It’s the first time I’ve seen PDS introduce some colour into their designs and was definitely a fun shoot to do. Though we had to play hide and seek with the security at the arcade, it was definitely 007 photography going on here. Ya’ll should be able to cop these online soon. More imagery on the reverse.

There will be a host of activities – both fun and serious – highlighting the issues, delivered by members of the marine conservation community and like-minded celebrities, artists, musicians, designers and chefs.

Initially a store that sold sneakers and streetwear set up in 2004 and located in Amsterdam, Patta have now decided to delve into the realm of garment making themselves. This week saw information on their very first in house production leak. The upcoming spring/summer collection encompasses both clean cut looks reminiscent of the Adidas Originals contingent and garments catered more towards the streets with big bright bold patterns. You all know we don’t really post much streetwear on the site anymore unless it’s honestly something I admire. I’ve featured this brand once before on the site and complimented Boyce on his presentation and design aesthetic. He’s continued that class onto his newest collection ‘Suffoca Will Prosper‘. The collection feature a variety of tees, a vest, silhouette and a dope custom piece. As always the clothing features characters and illustrations by Boyce – brand consistency is key. A lot of up and coming UK brands need to realise consistency and quality go hand in hand, presentation is part of the package. He gets it spot on. Have a gander at the collection on the reverse.
