When was the last time you received a letter or postcard in the mail? I make a point of sending my closest friends surprise letters or small packages by post and if I’m on holiday I’ll always send postcards. Handwritten correspondence is just so much more personal and meaningful than an email and everyone always appreciates the thought. So I came across the website for London based Present & Correct and absolutely love their range of thoughtfully designed stationary. Will definitely have to buy the Airmail Packet which has vintage envelopes and old labels, which will be great to send to family and friends abroad. For some reason I’ve been after an old typewriter for a while. I just love the classic typography and nostalgia. Present & Correct have a beautiful Yellow Typewriter from the 70′s which I just have to have!!

I’ve been a fan of Vans kicks for a long time now, since my ‘emo‘ days of checkered kicks. I love their simple silhouettes especially the slip-ons but more recently I’ve started to like the half-cabs and other models. I still haven’t invested in a pair but I do want to hunt down a these for the upcoming Winter season. The iconic brand have further expanded in the UK by opening another Vans Store in London, this time in the Covent Garden area. More information after the cut.

Wow. My jaw actually dropped when I saw the photos over at Freshness Mag, I just knew I had to share. Olive took me to Flight Club‘s other stores in Soho during our trip to NYC and I was impressed by the range of sneakers they have but they don’t compare to this store. I’m just blown away by this one! If you put me in the Playboy mansion, you’d get a similar reaction. I want them all. The sneakers that is, more photographs after the cut.

See I’m not that much into vintage, I’ve always been a bit snobby when it comes to wearing 2nd hand clothing unless they were family hand downs from in my childhood. In recent years, the vintage hype has boomed and everyone has been purchasing vintage pieces from the 50s-90s because you know fashion tends to recycle itself. I think it’s mainly due to the recession! Shop Dutty founders have decided to launch The Gold Mine – a new vintage pop-up store for the folks of Bristol. More details after the cut.

Louis Vuitton will open the New Bond Street Maison in London on 28th May 2010 (TODAY). The opening of the New Bond Street Maison gives a home perfectly attuned to the new twenty-first century mood of a place that Louis Vuitton president Yves Carcelle describes as “one of the most important fashion and cultural cities in the world. It brings together innovation, heritage and fashion values that are all important to Louis Vuitton.” More details after the cut.

I stumbled across this shop on my little escapade through Shoreditch to find hidden gems like this store. The store is tucked away on a side road which is just off Rivington Street where Wholesome* is located.Yang’s been looking around for a shop that sell Edwin Jeans since he fell in love with the pair he bought at Selfridges. The thing is they retail at around £155 which is fair bit in my opinion! I love what they stock at this store from Redwing boots to Clarks Originals’ desert boots to more high street brands like Carhartt, Wrangler and Fred Perry. So if you want to go for a more refined streetwear look, you should definitely check this place out. Details after the cut.
