Kanye West and Jay-Z collaborative project ‘Watch The Throne‘ is COMING! The first single from the project was leaked online a few hours ago via it’s Facebook fan page. Ya’ll can listen to the song ‘H.A.M‘ after the cut, its pure rap. Kanye seems angry and you know angry Mr.West always sounds good – utilizing the overly emo side of him to churn out the rap that everyone can bop their head to. However Jay-Z is the master, Ye’s big brother and I personally feel he owns him on this beat. I mean lyrically. After reading Decoded I have come to my senses that Jay lyrics usually have a double meaning. More after the cut.

Rah. At first that was my reaction, then was like WTF @ Ca$his and Stat Quo‘s inclusion on this track but Shake later announced that this track is a few years old. So much for hoping Detox was coming real soon. I’m definitely feeling this beat, it’s classic Dre and some of the verses are ill. One thing I’m definitely not feeling is Eminem‘s singing, allow it. Peep the track on the flipside, let me know what you think!
Yeayuh. Lupe finally dropped the visuals for his 1st single off Lasers. Ya’ll already know it’s going to be one of the best albums of 2011 if it’s anything like the Cool on a lyrical level. This song is such a feel good anthem, very sing-a-long. The video follows the rapper through his journey from the dressing room to the strage, takes some CGI space detours on the way to the stage. The song has a positive message which is quite rare these days especially in rap music, peep the video on the flipside. Hope everyone had a good Christmas! but now back to work…the show goes on.
Lawd. It’s about time he released a video for this song! easily my favourite by the singer/songwriter Miguel Jontel. It’s the song that got him his record deal with Jive almost 4 years ago and I’m glad he’s finally released an album after a lot of legal issues with one of his earlier contracts. The album isn’t amazing but there are a few songs here and there which certainly got rinsed on my iTunes. ‘All I Want Is You‘ out in stores and iTunes now, go purchase. Peep the video on the reverse.
ROFL. Exactly the way I want to start Sunday, Lonely Island are back with their first single off the 2nd album and I must admit, I kinda dig the song. The song features singer Akon on the hook so you instantly know it’s going to be pretty infectious. The video is hilarious features cameos from Jessica Alba (yum!), Blake Lively (yum x 2!) and John McEnroe. Video after the cut, props to Felix from CTR for the heads up on this one.
We finally get the visuals for the Drake-assisted Jamie Foxx track ‘Fall For Your Type‘. It’s one of my favourite songs from the talented actor/singer, definitely one of those smooth tracks that you can play on repeat. Drake’s verse is the icing on the cake as usual, can anyone relate to this song? I’d hate to make the same mistakes again. Gawd damn at the lead actress, she looks like a young Jennifer Lopez. Video on the flipside.
I posted the preview a few days ago and as promised here’s the full version of the video to MJ‘s first single off the posthumous record ‘Michael‘. I can’t say I’m looking forward to the release of the album, it’s just a money making ploy for the record label. Leave his legacy alone, don’t taint it with rubbish like Breaking News. Who knows? Maybe I’m wrong and it’ll be a hit record but right now Willow Smith is set to take number 1 spot in the UK ahead of this song. Saying that, I like this record and the video is nice & happy. Peep it on the flipside.
