New Rihanna Single On The way?

Robyn Rihanna Fenty formally known simply as Rihanna has become, in the space of five years, a worldwide chart topping success and with four albums under her belt it seems that she has no intention of slowing down. Having only released her fourth studio album Rated R nine months ago she has returned to the studio to finish up her forthcoming as yet untitled album. Sources close to the singer have hinted that a new single from this album is to drop sooner than we may expect. More after the cut.

The sources took to twitter to drop some quite unsubtle hints surrounding this new single.

I don’t know about you but I do think that this is mighty quick considering her latest singles Te Amo (international) and Rockstar 101 (US release) were both only released in June. sales of the album rated r were not as high as expected so moving swift on from that album could be a good idea however I don’t think her label have given fans enough time to miss the Rude Boy singer.

She has tour dates for her latest tour running all the way into the next year so if she was to release a new album anytime soon I fear a major burnout is looming. She would literally be finishing one tour only to start a new one straight away. I believe I’ve said this before but I’m going to say it again, sometimes too much exposure can be an artists’ downfall.

Mariah Carey To Release Christmas Album In November.

Mariah Carey has one of the most successful Christmas albums of all time under her belt but she still feels the need to release another. Having sold over 12 million copies of her 1994 release it is rather difficult to imagine those figures can be matched especially considering the below par sales performances of her last two albums.

In any case as a Mariah Carey admirer I am intrigued to see what she will come up with this time around. Hopefully she can bring that old Mariah magic she had back in the day now that she is once again working with Randy Jackson and Jermaine Dupri. We can expect the album to be release November 1^st.

Travis Baker To release Solo Record

Travis Barker also known as the drummer from Blink 182 is said to be working on a all new solo project. After surviving a plane crash that killed four others, Barker is now fully healed and ready to get his music career on track.

The new project due for release this October will take a drastic change of direction from his Blink 182 days. With collaborations with Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake, T.I, Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco and Rick Ross it will be interesting to see how the mix of talents will come together on this record. Although not a huge fan of Blink 182 I am definitely intrigued.

T.I Pushes Album Release Back

Speaking to Rap-TV T.I. The King of the South stated that his new album, ‘King Uncaged’, has been pushed back once again and will no longer be released on September 28th. Peep what Tip had to say about ‘King Uncaged’ below:

She’s just too damn hot, I don’t think other women can compare. Though I dislike the high-waisted contraption she has on,but I wouldn’t throw her out of bed for that. I’ve swayed far too deep into my Rihanna obsession – Eminem‘s video for his 2nd single off his album is here. It’s a catchy track,  way too overplayed for my liking. The hobbit from LOTR is one lucky f*cker.

The video for one of my favourite songs from her ‘Rated R‘ album has dropped. Apparently this video is only meant for German fans, I guess the Deustch like lesbian acts and bondage because that’s what most of this video is filled with. The funny thing is I like her the most when she has the dress on running around on the grass lawn. You know I ain’t going to let a Riri video slip by, haha. The quality ain’t great but enjoy the video after the cut.

The music video finally drops. I just watched the leaked version a few moments ago but I’m sure it’ll be taken down in a matter of minutes so I’ll wait till the VEVO version before publishing the post. The video itself is DOPE, I love this chick. She’s so edgey, vocally she may not be the greatest but as a style icon, she kills it everytime. Teyana Taylor (of  My Super Sweet Sixteen fame) has hooked up with Mijo, Braxton and Ethan to form a new rock band, the band goes by the name of UGLY: U-nderneath G-reatness L-yes Y-ou, a clever name if I do say so myself. The group plan to release their new single titled ‘Wasted’ this summer. Hear a snippet of what sounds like a really dope track after the cut.

Things haven’t exactly blown up for Teyana as a solo artist (remember ‘Google Me’) considering she is signed to Star Trak (Pharrell Williams label). Many people probably would have expected her to do well automatically since she is and has friends with many people in the music industry, most noticeably her friendship with Chris Brown, however this has not been the case.

She can sing, she can dance and she has a great fashion sense. An individual style which can only really be describe as dope! The song ‘Wasted’ although very different to her debut single still manages to be believable and compliment her style. After listening to the snippet I have a good feeling that this could lead to something big for the band and expose Teyana to the commercial success she deserves.

Here’s proof that she actually sing unlike some of these so called stars of today not naming any names (Rihanna, Britney Spears) Singing Alicia Keys Un-thinkable I reintroduce Miss TEYANA TAYLOR.

NME have updated their iconic (lame) logo with a much more modern and clean look. The magazine has been completely upgraded it’s design with a new front, features and review sections. The old logo was quite dry to be honest, the stroke around it = nasty. I’m a big fan of the typography but I feel the placement is off on some of the covers. Never thought I’d say this but Riri doesn’t look as hot as she usually does, she looks a lot more grown up.

P.S. I have no clue why one magazine cover jpg is a different size to the others! it’s rather annoying.

Wow the video is so creative and colorful, didn’t expect this many colors because the preview was black & white. It’s definitely one of my favourite songs of her album, she definitely should do more songs with a carribean touch to it. The video does remind me of M.I.A.‘s ish but oh well, it’s well done. Do ya’ll think I’ll ever hate a video Rihanna puts out?

This sneak peak of Rihanna‘s latest music video for her latest single ‘Rude Boy‘ just dropped and I must say it looks pretty dope. I can see all the people comparing this to Lady Gaga which I don’t understand why as Gaga just came into the scene about an year and a half ago? Rihanna has been around for over 5 years and she’s only 22. The video is directed by Melina and it seems really dark and edgy which is pretty much her look for her latest album. More after the cut.

I’m looking forward to the full video after seeing photos of her going back to her roots with various colourful Carribean inspired outfits. The full video willl drop later this week so hold on tight!
