I’m going to run out of superlatives trying to describe how great this song is. Last week, his camp dropped the viral video for it and it has gained over 4 million views in the space of 2 weeks. Pure genius from the marketing team, the typography video was perfect and not to forget the song insanely catchy. I’m sure most people haven’t seen videos like it before. As promised the official video dropped yesterday, after the cut to view it.

You’d think it would be extremely hard for them to top last week’s video and yes I don’t think they have but this video is dope, definitely funny as hell . It’s just as vibrant, fun and well executed. I love how the way the story has been explained using the video, the bit where he sings ‘WHY!?’ has me in tears. Enjoy.

I’ve been rinsing this song since last Thursday when it dropped, the video gave me have a typogasm (a typographical sexual eruption) as my love  for kinetic typography videos has no limit. It’s very well made and the song goes perfectly with it. What makes me like it so much is the lyrical content aimed at gold diggers, SMH at ya’ll. Also I’ve never heard the f-word sang so well in a song, I wonder what they’d replace with for radio, stuff you? video after the cut.

For those who don’t know who know Theo Martins, allow me to introduce you to him. Theo Martins is a Providence-based rapper who has been catching quite some buzz from the likes of  2dopeboyz, The Boston Pheonix, NahRight and many other sites. Martins song have been featured on ABC’s “The Forgotten” and Wakey! Wakey!‘s lead singer Michael Grubbs a while back  placed music and starred in CW’s “One Tree Hill“. When it comes to music I’m very selective but Martins has this thing to him; It’s quite indescribable. To rap that up Theo has released his video to his dance remix to Ye’s “Power” single. Song was produced by Party Supplies with the video being directed by Albert Huerta & CPA of Summer Camp. Video after the cut.

I actually quite like this song now after a few plays. *embarrassed face* His lyrics and choice of subject matter within the song has much improved to that ‘Frisky’ and chocolate biscuit nonsense. For me, he gets out-shined again by the vocalist and this time it’s not Labr1nth, it’s Eric Turner (no idea who he is!). I feel Tinie has ripped off Kid Cudi‘s look – skinny jeans, leather jacket, clear specs and the jordans. Video after the cut.

Kanye West Pushes Album Back

Kanye West only now seems to be getting the technology bug. First he joined twitter and now he has taken to Ustream for the first time. Many fans are sure to be pleased with his decision to make himself appear to be more accessible. During his first live link up with fans via Ustream he revealed that his highly anticipated new as yet untitled album, which was initially scheduled for a September 14^th release, will now hit stores “sometime in November”

Not one to disappoint West gave his doting fans an insight into what could possibly be his next single to drop from his forthcoming album within the next 20 days. He stated that it is a toss up between either ‘Lost in The World’ or ‘All of The Lights’ and gave fans a preview of the latter. View the video of a well spoken and composed Kanye West below.

Will.i.am Not Keen To Hear New Michael Jackson Album

Last week I brought you the news that Sony Music were to release a new Michael Jackson album in November. Although most of the world would love to hear new/unheard material from MJ, not everybody feels the same way. Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am has spoken out and aired his opinion on the matter. Take a look at what he had to say below.

“How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain’t here to bless it?” he told the Associated Press news agency.”He was a perfectionist and he wouldn’t have wanted it that way,” he said of the new album, which Sony is expected to release in November.

“I don’t think that should ever come out. Now that he is not part of the process, what are they doing? Why would you put a record out like that?”

“Because he was a friend of mine, I just think that’s disrespectful.

What’s wrong with what he already contributed to the world?”

Chris Brown Talks New Album And Signs With Top Media Agency.

It seems as though Chris Brown is n the comeback trail. Many would say that he hasn’t gone anywhere to consider his next album as a comeback, however due to recent activities in his personal life and less than stellar sales of his last album many feel as though he has something to prove. A return to prominence my be on the cards for brown as he has recently signed with top media agency Creative Arts Agency (CAA) – the world’s leading sports and entertainment agency.

Nelly Sets Release Date For New Album

It feels like it has been forever and a day since we have heard from Nelly although his last record ‘Brass Knuckles’ was only released in 2008. Some may say that two years is a long time but when considering some albums stretch out their life span well into its second year of release (Beyonce – I am Sasha Fierce, Lady Gaga – The Fame) it does seem that Brass Knuckles was swept under the rug pretty quickly.

November 16^th is the tentative release date for his new album simply titled ‘Nelly 5.0’. I say tentative release as in recent years we have been accustomed to multiple release date changes.

The new set will feature writing and production contributions from Rico Love, Dr. Luke, Jim Jonsin, Dutch, Polow Da Don and more. Guest features are expected to include the likes of Diddy, T.I, Akon and Kelly Rowland.

Nicki Minaj Names Debut Album

The last piece of news i bring you today is the naming of Nicki Minaj’s debut album due November 23^rd. Much like Kanye did, Minaj took to Ustream to call and chat with fans and it was there that she announced the title of her album.

Pink Friday is the intended name, some may not understand the title but I will share this with you which may help to clarify the reasoning behind it. The album is due on November 23^rd which is a Tuesday, the Tuesday before Black Friday which in the US is the biggest shopping day of the year. Nicki Minaj is always banging on about Barbie and loves the colour pink as we have seen hence Pink Friday.

Creative Control & Control Freaq team up to direct Erykah Badu‘s video for the remix of her Window Seat single featuring the BAWSE, Rick Ross. In all honestly, I don’t think his verse adds anything to the song but her featuring him is understandable he’s the hot sh*t right now. I quite like the way it’s filmed, the blurry visuals go well with the New York city visuals. The video starts off with Rick Ross picking up Erykah from Jail – a little jibe at the controversy sparked by the original video. Peep it after the cut.

I know we have already post a music video today but i can not just let this one slide because the highly anticipated music video for Kanye West’s new single ‘Power’ has just dropped. Marco Brambilla the videos director is sure to get a number of people wanting his services after this masterpiece. The strapline in the picture above could not be more relevant “It’s not a video…It’s a painting”, it sure is a stunner. The use of visual graphics has been done in a way in which we have never seen before in a music video. Mr West is going all out this go around and so far I’m liking what he has to offer. Underneath is the Uncensored version of the video. In my opinion the first video is better because it has more to it that naked girls but they both still are art masterpieces.

She’s just too damn hot, I don’t think other women can compare. Though I dislike the high-waisted contraption she has on,but I wouldn’t throw her out of bed for that. I’ve swayed far too deep into my Rihanna obsession – Eminem‘s video for his 2nd single off his album is here. It’s a catchy track,  way too overplayed for my liking. The hobbit from LOTR is one lucky f*cker.

This is so dope. The video for Kanye West‘s single Power has been shot and is now being edited in the studio, this video shows the production process behind it and what we can expect from the final cut. It looks nuts to say the least – the video has been inspired by Michaelangelo’s frescos in the Sistine Chapel, the artwork that depicts faux historical movement of an empire on the brink of collapse due to its own excess and corruption. Before ya’ll start calling for Ye’s head because of the devil horns featured in this video – lookback to College Dropout, track number 7 – Jesus Walks. Video after cut.
