I love the Barbican, they always have these unusual exhibitions on (that I can never go to). For a couple of weeks now this exhibition has been running and it looks like a good treat for animators, kid and people who have a general interest for animation: Disney, Marvel and various other classic characters. You’ll discover how all of these characters were brought to life and developed throughout the years though a series of booths and shows during the exhibition. The Barbican are holding this until September 11th and it costs between £10 and £12 depending on how you book tickets. Info after the break.

OKSNDJAKBDNKSABHDSA = my reaction. I’m at work, should be doing work but thought I’d give ya’ll a quick post on the new Avengers teaser trailer that premiered at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger movie. Bit of a spoiler but hey, it saves you having to sit through the credits. I’m pretty sure there will be a better quality version dropping next week at San Diego’s Comic Con. Have a gander at the trailer on the reverse. If it gets taken down, let me know! Right back to work….

I’m not as psyched up for this one as I was with X-Men: First class, partially because I always thought Captain America was really lame when I was kid… with his American Flag shield *side eye*.  However I will watch it because it is one of the marvel films and by the looks of the trailers here after the cut, the film is boasting really good special FX and a more contemporary take as with the new Mortal Kombat online series. The second trailer just surfaced a few days ago, I believe the film is set for release in the UK on July 22nd, peep both trailers after the cut.

Literally just got home, I haven’t even bothered taking my shoes off. Straight onto the mac to write a quick post before I KO into sleepy land. This first week of full time work and blogging has taken it out of me. In fact ignore the last 2 lines as I konked out before I could even complete the post, still feel insanely tired but have to head out and cover an event today. I wish I was a superhero with an infinite energy supply, preferably Superman. Photographer Gregg Segal followed around the famous men and women who parade around Hollywood dressed in Superhero outfits. It’s their day job. No joke. He follows them around to capture the contrast between the crazy and dull. It’s so weird seeing them doing normal human tasks – eat, photograph, wash clothes, smoke (not normal humans, smoking is for losers) and so on. Peep the rest of the collection after the cut.

Marvel have put out a viral to promote their upcoming film release ‘Thor‘. It’s a clever play on the funny Volkswagen ‘Force’ advert which you can catch here. If you were in London today, you would know that Marvel have been going in with the PR for this new film. Bringing real life thunderstorms to the city KMT, how random was that shift in weather?! This is a funny little viral, it could have been better but hey, it works. Check it out on the reverse. Who’s going to see Thor next week?

This surfaced on the internet just over a hour ago and in that time I think I have played it over 10 times, in 1080p resolution of course. Xavier: ‘Listen to me my friend, killing will not bring you peaceMagneto: ‘Peace was never an option’ BOOM!. I’m having a major geekgasm right about now! can’t wait till the movie is released this summer, I really hope they show it here at the IMAX here because I need to see that scene with Magneto lifting the submarine on a big ass screen. OK off I go to watch it again, ya’ll can peep the trailer on the reverse.
