Shiiiiiiet. Child Rebel Soldier (CRS) = Kanye West + Lupe Fiasco + Pharrell Williams for those that don’t know. They announced the formation super hip-hop group a few years back but one track only ever surfaced from it so everyone thought it was all over. Maybe Ye is going to bring it back? Who knows! this song is solid, however it’s not one of my favourites from G.O.O.D. Music Fridays series. It’s 4am and that means I should being going to bed now. Over and out.

It has been a fortnight so it’s time for me to update ya’ll with my favourite R&B and Hip-Hop songs that I have added to my iTunes library in the past 2 weeks. Starting off with my most played song in the past few weeks, Cee-Lo‘s ‘Fuck You’. His managed to use such a disrespectful song and managed to make it sound damn good. The song is 60s/70s esque, it has that timeless feel to it. Much much more on the flipside.

I’m really late with this but that’s mainly due to the lack of good songs in the past week. I’ve only got around 15 songs for ya’ll. Starting off with a dope song off Curren$y‘s upcoming album featuring Mos Def and Jay Electronica. You can’t go wrong when you have the likes of those 2 on the track, songs after the cut.

‘Failure‘s my last name, Never‘s my first one.’ They finally dropped a video for Lupe Fiasco‘s ‘I’m Beamin‘ single of his upcoming album, Lasers. Honestly can’t wait his album to drop as I still rinse his last album, The Cool – seriously it was probably one of the best albums of the last decade. A real creative video from Wasalu here, especially like how the children are incorporated into it and the lighting effects which remind me of Dragonball Z. Video after the cut.
Few months ago I had no clue who this Terry Richardson bloke was and now I idolise him. Since finding out he shot the Pirelli 2010 calender, I’ve wanted to be him and now he shoots 2 of my favourite music artists, Pharrell Williams and Lupe Fiasco. Both of them have albums out this year, going to be interesting to see what this shoot is for. More photos after the cut.

While browsing the web I came across this awesome song featuring Lupe Fiasco and Kenna. The song is called “Ressurection”. Ressurection is a Haiti relief song produced by Linkin Park/Fort Minor’s own Mike Shinoda. The video was done by Illusive Media. I loved the whole feel of the video. It just reminds us that there is a cause that needs to be looked at. Lupe totally killed the song. Video after the cut.
This is a dope compilation put together by MusicForRelief to get aid for the people of Haiti. The compilation features songs from the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Linkin Park, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Alanis Morissette, Slash, The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Kenna, Enrique Iglesias and more. You can listen to the compilation after the cut or download it from here.
