Music News Monday is fast becoming the most tedious post I have to write but at the same time I feel its essential to continue keeping you all up-to-date with the goings on in the music world. This week I have pieces on Lady Gaga, Teena Marie, Polow Da Don, Willow Smith, Chris Brown and Rihanna. Check the full scoop on the flipside.

2010 was a great year for many artists. Some new and some old. From Lady Gaga to Justin Bieber, this year was definitely dominated by Pop music. Some artists who were more renowned for other genres were now moving into the pop genre to great success. You only have to look at Usher for example to see how well the switch could work for an artist.
This is crazy sexy cool. Artistic duo Ralph Lagoi and Kate Lace combined their brains to create Lagoi & Lace. They met while studying art and photography at University in Cologne, they decided to fuse their various creative strengths to honour the power of beauty and fashion. I need to follow in their footsteps and utilise my fellow creative individuals at Art school, there is so much talent. The duo have come up with a spread ‘Love Land Invaders‘ which embodies pop culture, taking inspiration from a lot of diverse sources and putting together to create these crazy vibrant scenes. More after the cut.

It is that time again where I round up some of the music news stories that entered the public domain over the last week. This week sees news stories regarding Nelly, T.I, Lady Gaga and a few others but first I will start with a rather sad piece about Fantasia.
For those who have been following the Music News Weekly (MNW) series will know that it’s usual slot is on a Sunday however I wasn’t feeling to great yesterday so I skipped working on the blog for my bed instead and for that i’m sorry. You will be pleased to know that I am now back to full health and ready to start writing again. Not wanting to completely pass on MNW for this week I have decided to post it today. This weeks MNW features news from Justin Timberlake, Mario, Britney Spears and more.
Kelly Rowland Set For X-Factor?
Rumours surrounding who will be the next X-Factor judge or who will be the judges on the American version have been running wild for a while now. One name that has surfaced on a consistent basis is my girl Kelly Rowland.
I-D Magazine is easily one of my favourites, I’m a big fan of dope editorial design and typography. For their 30th Anniversary issue, they’ve decided to celebrate it with a birthday issue that revolves around the theme of ‘Then, Now, and Next.’ For a 3 week period, they held photo shoots at LFW’s home, Somerset House. Over 200 people took part in this very special project including the cover star super models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and err Lady Gaga. Naomi Campbell is still fine as hell, she has such defined features. Shame she’s a wackjob but I’m looking forward to seeing more from this project.
