I’ve been slacking on the blog this week. Mainly because my job has taken priority and these past 2 weeks have been killer. I’ve found myself managing a big account’s campaigns, never expected that to happen so soon but definitely a learning curve. I probably learnt more in the fortnight than I ever did it at university. OKAY DIGRESSED a little bit, this post is about a concept shop in LA that my friend put me onto way back in August. In fact, I spotted him wearing one of the accessories first and asked where he got it from. They’re nothing too fancy but a great addition to any outfit. A little bit of personalisation goes a long way. Continues after the cut.

Gah, I honestly didn’t want to share this gem with anyone but that would beat the point of Y&Y since we’re all about introducing our readers to new things that we discover. Numerous people have stopped me in recent weeks asking where I purchased my two-finger wooden ring from and my response would be ‘India‘. In truth, I purchased it online from a London-based wooden accessories maker, Ollie Adegboye. More on the reverse.

On Tuesday Yin and I made our way to the Charlotte Street Hotel where Fossil held their press day. Quite an impressive selection of bags, watches and their clothing line all from up coming season autumn/winter 2011. Heaps of photos after the cut.

In 2011 the fundraising target for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign is to raise one million pounds for breakthrough breast cancer. We can do our part with the help of My-Wardrobe and designer Priyanka Lungani, who have come together to create an exclusive signature three stone ring. Aamaya by Priyanka’s beautiful collection draws on inspiration from the colour palette and vibrancy of India. The jewellery line already has a strong celebrity following, and has been spotted on the likes of Olivia Palermo.

Hey guys I just wanted to share this quirky accessory collection by Accessory Freaks with you. They are a UK based brand designed by Pam Sami who according to her twitter bio is a scientist by day and jewellery designer by night…interesting. The collection is quite fun and quirky and is definitely not for the faint hearted. I think of it as the ever essential statement jewellery you use to set your outfit off or as Pam so rightly puts it ‘art you can wear’.

On Thursday I headed to the Guess Accessories store at Knightsbridge for the launch of the Spring/Summer 2011 “Treasure Garden” collection. Honestly, I never shop at Guess but have friends that do so went along with one of my girls to see what the noise was about!
