Damn funny. It’s 3:54 am and this popped in my twitter feed, just had to post it. Anyone who keeps up to date with sports will know that LeBron James moved to Miami Heat earlier this week. He was heavily linked to move to one of the New York-based teams but sh*t happened and he ended up moving elsewhere. Here’s Affion‘s take on it, he spoofs ‘A Star Is Born’ by Jay-Z. This is epic. I’ve seen videos of how Jay-Z works in the studio in the past and love how he comes up with his verse on the spot, the guy is a master of his art. I’ve had the song on repeat since it leaked yesterday, some of the lyrics from both of them are genius. This footage taken from Teflon Don: The Bossumentary features dope backstage as Ross plays Hov the beat and his first verse before Sean Carter drops his bars. Video, track and lyrics after the cut.

The guys Cookin’ Soul fuses Quincy Jones “Summer In The City” and Jay-Z’s “Hello Brooklyn” to make “Summer In Brooklyn” Being the Brooklynite I am, I just had to post this. Anyone who is from BK or has been to BK knows that Brooklyn in the summer is dope. Everything from block parties, concerts, fashion shows, festivals to name a few. The video is shot in Black & White which kind of gives this reminiscent yet raw type feel. More after the cut.

I’m so hyped about this Sunday, it’s Jay-Z day at Wireless Festival. It’s going to be fucking amazing, pardon my french. I don’t care what people say about his freemason/illuminati links! it’s all about his music. So I thought I’d dedicate to this post to the self-proclaimed JeHOVA of Rap. He is without a doubt up there with the greats, after the cut for my favourite classic songs from him.

The Wireless ticket giveaways competitions have come to a close. My phone has been vibrating constantly the past few days thanks to all the emails and now a random winner has been selected from the 100s of entries. I’ve had people trying to bribe me, buy tickets off me and even girls offering to do anything for these tickets! madness. I don’t know how at least 20 people managed to pick the wrong answer, all you had to do was check Roc-Nation’s Wikipedia page. Winner announced after the cut.
