We’re baaaaack. Much more solid line-up of songs this week, I feel. Who else has had a relaxed weekend? I’ve spent most of the last 2 days at home, just relaxing and doing work on my top secret project. It’s nice to just stay in and work on something you love. It’s nice to get a break away from the fast-paced city lifestyle. Music for your journeys on the reverse, let us know what you think!

Everyone rolls out a “top for…” list as the end of the year draws close. Instead of merely reeling off some artists on everyone’s “one-to-watch” lists, instead I’ll put on my psychic headwrap, rub my macbook’s mouse (the crystal ball of digital clairvoyants) and make some predictions about the British music scene in 2011. Check out my 11 music musings for 2011 after the cut.

I don’t know why but I really dislike writing this post these days. I’m guessing it’s either because 1. I hate sharing my music, 2. The post takes hours to write and 3. I’m lazy. I’ll go with the latter. For me, it’s been Kanye week with the release of his latest album but because I bought the album, I shall not be sharing anymore songs from it. So to kick start things with the new Queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj. Continues after the jump folks.

Jay Electronica is coming back to the UK and this time he’s hittin’ up Cargo in the trendy district of Shoreditch. Ever since Jay performed his first London gig at The Jazz Cafe he’s gained alot more recognition and more fans! He was at Lovebox this year unfortunately we couldn’t go; if you haven’t seen Jay yet this is your chance. Tickets are only £20 and trust me its definitely worth it. Details follow.

I’m really late with this but that’s mainly due to the lack of good songs in the past week. I’ve only got around 15 songs for ya’ll. Starting off with a dope song off Curren$y‘s upcoming album featuring Mos Def and Jay Electronica. You can’t go wrong when you have the likes of those 2 on the track, songs after the cut.

By the time I finish this post it’ll probably be Thursday. I swear I’m always late with Eargasms, blame essays again and me of course for leaving it late again. My essay is actually about me and having to write about oneself in 3rd person is a quite frankly rather annoying. ‘niran blogged this’ hah. Moving on to the music, there hasn’t been as much songs this week! Drake‘s 2nd single was easily my favourite, hated at first but grew to love it after listening to the lyrics properly. More after the cut.

Oh my god. This new season of Boondocks looks epic, the animation has improved so much and the fighting looks nuts. I didn’t know it was going to be the final season of Aaron McGruder‘s controversial but dope cartoon. The 2 year long wait is almost over, the new season premieres on May 2nd. Trailer after the cut. For those wondering what the song in the background is, it’s Exhibit C by Jay Electronica.
