Shiiiiiiet. Child Rebel Soldier (CRS) = Kanye West + Lupe Fiasco + Pharrell Williams for those that don’t know. They announced the formation super hip-hop group a few years back but one track only ever surfaced from it so everyone thought it was all over. Maybe Ye is going to bring it back? Who knows! this song is solid, however it’s not one of my favourites from G.O.O.D. Music Fridays series. It’s 4am and that means I should being going to bed now. Over and out.

After Ye’s amazing redemption in the new XXL Oct issue which is very beautifully written, it really makes you think a bit. Make sure to pick up a copy! So back to the topic, a new West unfinished track has surfaced the net this week a tad early. The track was meant to be featured on Ye’s upcoming album. The track is entitled “Lost In The World“. The song is really deep. As much I dislike the word “deep“. It really is a deep, touching and heartfelt song. Because of the leak of song Ye has announced via Twitter that he has decided to pass of G.O.O.D. Fridays this week. Listen after the cut.

I love black & white photography and Kanye West & the G.O.O.D. music family. So what do you get when you put them both together? a dope spread for XXL magazine. The spread features the rosewood movement, Ye’s jewellery, G.O.O.D. music family and some video model, Nikki B. We definitely have to do a Y&Y B&W shoot when we announce the new writers to the team. How dope would that be? chyea, rest of the shoot on the flipside.
I really shouldn’t be writing posts as I have to be awake in 4 hours to see off my sister as well as waking up another friend (I’m her human alarm clock). Ye outdoes himself with the line-up he has on this track but I don’t know why Swizz Beatz is on it. He doesn’t add a thing to the song as usual however the beat is f*$%!ing ridiculous. For me, Jay-Z has the best verse. Listen/Download after the cut.
G.O.O.D Music Fridays is back! on the eve of NYFW kicks off. If you stalk, Kanye on twitter then you’ll know he was going crazy about it. I wish I was there as I would have had passes to the BAPE and BBC events where Cudi & Pharrrell performed. Kanye does a great job of piecing together a track that features so many people and make it sound cohesive, it’s dope. Are you ready for it? listen after the cut.
After last week’s madness collaboration track, Kanye slows it down on his own this time. The beat is DOPE, I love the repetitive background sample. This reminds me of his College Dropout style flow as it’s a more chilled out Ye. If he can give tracks like this and ‘Monster‘ away for free, imagine what the album is like?! After the cut for links.
Yeezy announced last week that his label, the G.O.O.D. music family will be dropping brand new tracks every Friday till the end of the year. For a Yeezy stan like me this is amazing news and wait for it, he’s just gone and topped that by announcing a 5-track EP with his big brother, Jay-Z. I’m sure the first track off that EP is the Power remix and the 2nd is this. After the cut to listen, for my thoughts and more.
