Women’s football has come a long long way in the past few years and I’ve been a keen follower for a while now. As an Arsenal fan…our women’s team has been our only source of trophies so it was more than likely to happen! Arsenal men’s team, ya’ll could learn a few lessons from watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup which kick started yesterday with Germany defeating Canada 2-1. I’m not a fan of ze Germans, have you seen the size of Brigit Prinz? She shouldn’t be playing in the women’s game haha. Anyway, our English ladies kick start their tournament this afternoon against the Mexicans. Y&Y Family member Eniola will be upfront, YES you read that right. The term ‘unbelievable tekkers’ is being used everywhere now, mostly by footballers to describe the technique of a player that just leaves you jaw dropped. There are some players with tekkers that do things with the ball and you just think, ‘How?!’. That is how I felt when I watched this promo video. I came across this F2 football freestyle promo yesterday and was pretty amazed. I tried some of the moves in training today and nearly hurt myself! Catch the promo after the jump.

One of my all time favourite footballers David Beckham was filmed performing some unbelievable free kicks into bins while on the beach in California shooting a commercial for Diet Pepsi. This is exactly like Ronaldinho‘s Nike viral a few years back where he repeatedly hit the cross bar with volleys; obviously a fake. David’s a talented guy but come now, this is clearly a fake! CGI ish. Still I had to post this, I’m sure it’ll go viral. You can hate on his swagger, David nearly always looks on point. Even in khaki cargo shorts, the look is perfect for a stroll down the beach. Peep the video on the reverse.

Now this post should definitely fit into the crazy shiz section. Last week I was away in Turkey with my team New Jersey Sky Blue for pre season. In the second half of the championship game against the Swedish champions, Malmo, we were putting pressure on them and pushing for an equalizing goal. Our right back crosses a great ball into the box and then annoyingly the game had to be stopped because a dog runs onto the pitch!! Crazy huh

Madness. Adidas is going ALL IN with this campaign like any dude on Kim Kardashian. This first promotional video ‘All Show‘ features a clip from the company’s visual light show in Marseilles, France using some ground breaking 3D project technology. I think the first time I saw something like this was for Victoria’s Secret 2009 show and more recently Ralph Lauren. The crowd of over 1,000 were there to watch this jaw-dropping spectacle of world’s top athletes showcasing their skills in 4D form. Once again Justice´s new single plays in the background, after the cut for a video featuring the French duo as well as the other clip!

This is on Nike‘s level of advertising. Adidas have most certainly gone all in with this new advert. ‘Heart over head. Inclusion over ego. United by passion, we go all in.’ In the advert, you see the likes Lionel Messi, B.o.B., Katy Perry, Derrick Rose, David Beckham and more. The cinematography is amazing and editing is really something else. What really tops it off is the Justice soundtrack, it’s the French electro duo’s new single titled ‘Civilization‘. After watching the advert, I have rediscovered my love for electro. They were one of my favourites, the new album will most certainly be copped. Watch the advert on the reverse.
