It’s drawing ever closer to that time where we share gifts with our loved ones. Now I know Christmas isn’t all about presents and all that jazz but lets face it, in this day and age it’s the first thing that we think about when the word Christmas is brought up. For the next couple of weeks i’ll post things that sit nicely on my wish list for this year, hopefully my mum will read this and take notes. Check out these Louis Vuitton Slalom Sneakers and let me know what y’all think. They retail at close to £600 which I know is excessive for sneakers but if i had the money y’all already know i’d be a mess when buy shoes left right and centre.

Graduation

posted in yin&yang by Yin

This week has been so blessed, too blessed to be stressed by work. Started off hectic with 2 of my senior colleagues leaving to go on holiday so I’m doing a lot more work a very important account. Thursday marked the end of the best eras of my life yet – university. I was quite apprehensive about spending £250+ on the actual ceremony; tickets, suit and photograph. It was definitely worth it. More on the reverse.

We Passed!

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail. I’m not sure who said that famous quote but I distinctly remember it from one of my secondary school classrooms. The teacher always used to warn us before a major exam and I clearly never learnt my lesson.. Yesterday morning I failed my theory test. To my defence, I only remembered I had a test at 7pm the night before and even then I was slack. I revised using one of the free iPhone apps which clearly didn’t cover all the questions that came up. Assuming my exam was at 9:30am, I got up at 7 to do some last minute cramming. However – needed to check up the location of the test centre to find out my test is at 8:30am. Screwed. We spent most part of yesterday afternoon on a Soho rooftop doing a review shoot for All Saints Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It’s the first time we shot womenswear as well, Annabel and the Truffle PR girls modeled for us. The photograph above was taken by yours truly and modeled by Yang if you haven’t guessed already. It’s definitely one of my better photographs, love how it turned out after the post processing of course. I have yet to start editing the remaining 280 photographs, that will be a weekend task. Enjoy the preview, click it for a full sized view as always.

I’m not sure if all of you know this but I set myself a food related challenge at the beginning of March. It was to stop eating my favourite food for 40 days, I did it for some personal reasons. Now 40 days and 5 Nandos trips later, I’ve stuck by my no chicken diet. It’s been a tough journey, especially when my family decide demolish 2 KFC buckets in front of me. Par. Anyway, the last Y&Y meeting took place at the Nandos in Canary Wharf.  More on the reverse carnivores.

Yesterday morning I woke up made myself a cup of green tea and sat down with the family before they all were due to head out. Within half hour of me being up and just as the family were leaving a knock at the door occurs. KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! My mum proceeds to open the door only to find the police standing at the door asking for a Mr Daniel Bailey (me). I respond “yes that’s me”….. blah blah blah basically what they had come to do was arrest me and take me down to the station. If you wanna know why then read on.
