Going abroad is meant to be an exciting thing. I remember as a child not being able to sleep the day before going away, I’d irritate the hell out of my mum to the point where she’d threaten me if I didn’t go to bed lol. As you may or may not know I recently took a trip to Portugal for some Y&Y related goodness which you will see soon. This post however is about my personal experience getting to and my stay in Portugal.
I didn’t announce my departure to non UK shores like Yin did with his obvious attempt at making people jealous that he is in NYC *throws daggers at Yin*, however I did venture abroad. In fact I actually left the same day as Yin but unlike him I only took a short 40 minute plane ride to the surprisingly sunny Amsterdam. I’ll try to fix a post documenting my time there however I’m not sure how i’m going to do it yet so I’ll hold fire for now. I just want to let all you Yin&Yang’ers that my presence will once again be gracing the pages of the site so you can start rolling out the red carpet and begin the round of applause as you cheer for my very understated return lol. I was originally going to drop this as a feature on the Henri Lloyd collection that DJB is rocking but felt it’d use it to hype up something that we have in the works. I feel sometimes the site centres around Yang, DJB and I so I’m hoping this new idea that I came up will change things. Honestly love chilling with the Y&Y family – we’ve all got such diverse backgrounds and career paths so the conversations are never dry. More on the reverse.

There are many points in life where you have to evaluate one’s self. We all are guilty of pointing out the flaws in other people and if we’re honest with ourselves it’s quite easy to spot the wrong doings and bad points of a fellow peer. However when posed the task of self assessment we suddenly have nothing to say. Ugliness is an unattractive quality but what is important to remember is that ugly begins with U so unless we check ourselves and make sure we are not portraying the same ugly traits we point out in other people we have no right to cast judgement on others.

You’re definitely the hardest working member of the Y&Y team, everyone knows that so I dare anyone to challenge that statement. Let’s make 2012 ours, hope you have a great day! *inserts DJB singing here* The song that I have selected for this week’s Throwback Thursday always leaves me whistling or humming the beat after i’ve heard it. It’s one of those tunes that gets stuck in your head for days but yet you don’t mind. I was inspired to select this song because of Project Alfie, I was thinking of what songs I think he should do a re take on and this was one of the songs I thought of. The song I have chosen is ‘Regulate’ by Warren G featuring Nate Dogg, R.I.P Nate.
