I fail when it comes to finding time to write this post on a weekly basis. Mainly because of the lack of music I download these days, I don’t download on a daily basis like I used to. However my iTunes does have 15,077 songs and I have listened to all the songs, fact. I’m starting off with Bruno Mars first single off his debut record. This song got over 40 plays from me yesterday, it’s that gooood.

If this guy doesn’t blow up this year, I’ll eat my favourite pair of sneakers. Most of ya’ll should know him by now thanks to the songs with Bobby Ray and Travie McCoy. This Hawaiian-born singer is an exceptionally talented vocalist whose voice reminds me a little of Robin Thické but a younger, more ‘edgier’ vibe to it. He released a 4 song EP a few months back and this is the first video off it, track features B.o.B. and Cee-Lo. Peep it after the cut.
By the time I finish this post it’ll probably be Thursday. I swear I’m always late with Eargasms, blame essays again and me of course for leaving it late again. My essay is actually about me and having to write about oneself in 3rd person is a quite frankly rather annoying. ‘niran blogged this’ hah. Moving on to the music, there hasn’t been as much songs this week! Drake‘s 2nd single was easily my favourite, hated at first but grew to love it after listening to the lyrics properly. More after the cut.
I was going to save this video for this week’s eargasms post but the video turned out to be really creative itself. The song has been one of my favourites of 2010 so far, a real infectious hook with a good beat. It reminds me of the hopenhagen advert; similar effect with the torn photos overlapping each other. Definitely a dope video and it does the song justice. Check out the video after the cut.

It’s that time of the week again! where I hook you up with some of the dopest tunes I’ve discovered this week. I’ll start things off with a track of Alicia Keys’ forthcoming project, The Element of Freedom. I’m sure the album will be a classic, she’s such an amazing vocalist! anyway the track is titled Unthinkable (I’m Ready) and its about a woman who’s ready to take the lead in her relationship. Track apparently features Drizzy Drake but I only hear him for like a split second in the background. Hit the read more button for tracks.
UPDATED – just found out that Drake wrote the song for Ms.Keys.
Ok so another busy week for me with university work, mayn don’t you just hate end of semester time? All these damn assignments and irrelevant presentations mixed with all the powerpoint lectures. Anyway I’ve got some big tunes from unknowns to platinum selling artists.
I’ll start off with B.O.B. aka Bobby Ray‘s first single, Nothing On You. The song features Bruno Mars who kills the hook, so infectious and catchy. This song will be in the Top 10, I guarantee it. Pop the hood for the tune and the rest.
