SC have gone and done it again by interviewing one of my favourite artists of 2010, Bruno Mars. I’ve actually run out of superlatives to use on this guy and as much as I hate to use this term but quite honestly he’s brought something ‘different’ to the R&B game. He sits down with SoulCulture to discuss himself, his style, breakthrough and much more. Peep the interview after the cut.
I finally got around to editing the video, well just adding a little watermark logo over it. You know how long it took just to render that? an hour. SMH. However it was worth the wait, Bruno Mars killed the song. He sounds exactly like how he does in the studio version, such a beautiful song. It’s not the best of angles but it’ll do, we got in late! video on the flipside.

The official video for my favourite song of the summer just dropped. Bruno Mars‘ video for his first single off his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans which is slated to release on October 5th. I love the video, it’s crazy creative with the tape! inspired by the artwork of Erika Iris Simmons (I’ll post her work soon!) and directed by Ethan Lader. Do ya’ll recognise the girl? I’m really good with faces and if I’m right she’s the chick off Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, Nathalie Kelley. Video after the cut.
There are 1000s of amazing singers on YouTube but for me Erin Paula is one of the best. She makes it seem easy, so effortless. Her cover of Keri Hilson‘s version of ‘Turn My Swag On‘ is a hell of a lot better than that Cher chick off X-factor. I thought I was over my yellow fever but she’s close to perfection, both in terms of looks and vocally. Wifey material. I’ve attached some of my favourites by her after the cut.
So a few nights ago, we hit up Notting Hill Arts Club after work to go see Bruno Mars perform his first ever UK shindig. You’ve all heard a song that he’s created/helped create in the past 12 months, I guarantee you. However the night didn’t start the best of ways…find out after the cut.
Yes you read right, Peter Hernandez Jr aka Bruno Mars will be performing in the UK for the very first time tonight. The funny thing is he’s not the only one, Mike Posner will be joining him at YoYo. Both of them have been getting major plays on my iTunes as of late, especially Mike since he dropped his debut album last month. I’ve been a fan of Bruno since I first listened to B.o.B.’s ‘Nothin’ On You’ way back in November. More event info after the jump.
