London, I love you but you’re killing me now. Honestly speaking I’d feel a little insensitive if I posted something that’s not related to the current happenings in the city. I’m angry, frustrated and depressed by what has happened over the last 3 days. Some of the videos I’ve seen feature kids gallivanting destroy buildings with petrol bombs and complaining about tax? WHAT TAX DO YOU KNOW ABOUT? Seriously when I was 15, I certainly did not pay tax. Foolishness. I can’t be arsed to get into this on here, just go read my tweets over the past few hours/day: @Niran7. These kids will pay the price for this unjustified violence and destruction in the future, just you wait. A lot changes have to be made, this was inevitable. Global economy is about to collapse any day now. Hold tight folks, judgement day soon come?

National Geographic have teamed up with Boston Big Picture to promote their new television series on Animals migrating around the world. The collection of photographs featured are simply amazing, perhaps the best wildlife photography I have ever seen. The photographers spent over two and a half years on this project, travelling a mind-boggling 420,000 miles across 20 countries and all seven continents. The photographs are only a small preview of what will be available in ‘Great Migrations: Official Companion Book‘. These photos make me want to go to a wildlife safari and snap away! full set after the cut.

In the past few days there has been a cyclone in India, an earthquake in China, a disruptive volcano in Iceland and if this isn’t enough proof for 2012 taking place then I don’t know what is. It’s funny because the people don’t seem to take notice of all these disasters and just carry on with their normal lives. I think it’s nature’s way of punishing us humans for all the damage we’ve done to our planet. Someone up there has pressed the reset button on Earth and sh*ts started to hit the fan. Boston Big Picture have done it again with an amazing photo gallery of the volcano, so beautiful once again.

Boston Big Picture never fails with their photo blogs and this is one is no exception. Photographer Jason Hawkes has shot a few amazing photos of New York City at night. From Hawkes himself: “The images of New York were shot on Nikons latest camera, the D3S, using three gyro stabilizing mounts and flown using twin star helicopters. We flew from heights of just over 500 ft up to 2,500-ft with no doors on, it was very very cold.” I can’t wait for our class trip to NYC in May now, the city looks like it has so much soul even in photos it shines and radiates. My God. It has happened again! this time in Chile. what the hell is going on in 2010? 2 massive world disasters in the first two months. The earthquake hit at 3:34am today with a magnitude of 8.8 on the Richter scale which makes it one of the worst earthquakes ever. So far over 140 deaths have been counted Just as we thought things couldn’t get any worse the earthquake also triggered a Tsunami which is navigating its way around the Pacific Ocean and set to arrive in Hawaii in a few hours time. It’s surreal that we’re all waiting for it to happen and have no power whatsoever to prevent it from happening despite all of our technological advances. It’s scary to say the least. Information on how to donate and photos after the jump.

It’s been almost a week since the start of the new Chinese Lunar New Year. It was also the beginning of their Spring Festival which embarks celebrations and observations by ethnic Chinese and others around the world. Unfortunately I didn’t have time this week due to work and university to join in the festivities but Boston Big Picture once again delivers a beautiful photo diary of the festivities that took place all over the world. I’ve got love for my orientals, infact I’m thinking about an oriental chick right now *ahh* flipside for photos of the start of the Year of the Tiger.
