Not that headlining Glastonbury and putting on a good show wasn’t enough promo but for those of you that haven’t seen it, Beyonce has put out a documentary charting her journey leading up to the launch of her new album ‘4‘ which was released a couple days ago. In the documentary Beyonce seems to show a little bit more of her personality and life which shes notorious for keeping very private…something a few celebs could learn from. She seems very focused and generally knows what she wants for her career- her work ethic is admirable. I quite like her new album, aside from the jarring ‘Girls (who run the world)’; her previous albums all sounds very similar but this album is quite different in that the content is abit more mature which I think it shows growth as an artist. These have been out for quite some time now but we havn’t posted a fuckery video in a long while so I thought why not! You may or may not have come across ThisisMack, a channel on youtube quickly attracting a lot of attention because of his witty and highly amusing hypothetical beef videos mainly between Beyonce and Ciara. Other videos include the likes of Kelly Rowland, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and even Michael Jackson. These videos kill us every time we watch them, there are some spectacular lines in these such as MJ’s “im sorry…who are you” and Ciara reference to Rihanna as a “Mothaf**kin crayon”.Wow and the voices… this guy went in. I wonder if he’ll do one with Christopher Brown and Frank Ocean! Watch the videos after the cut

As varied as my music taste usually is, this week I have had a few songs on rotation and am still listening to now even as I write this! I put compiled a list of songs that I am currently rinsing on my iTunes, they are a mixture of semi-old and new, enjoy.

I was gonna hold back on this for until tomorrow but with her label doing the rounds shutting down every leak that is out there, which may I add is their right to do so, I thought i’d fling this one into the public domain now. Listen to it quick before it gets locked off like the last track I posted, Beyonce ‘Countdown’. Shout out to Toyaz World for this. I would like to point out that although track have been leaked we here at Y&Y are strongly suggesting the purchase of her album on June 28th, we gotta support talent.

After my little show of concern regarding Beyonce‘s new album 4 and the songs that have entered the public domain thus far (see here) comes the leaking of this album track entitled ‘Party’. The song which features Andre 3000 is by far my instant favourite out of all the material that I’ve heard so far. The song delivers refreshing laid back 90′s vibe which can only lead to good things as music was at its best in the 90′s, shout out to Kanye West for doing a great job on the production. Take a listen to the track yourself and let me know what you think. P.S the new album is out June 28th so make sure you go and support.

To say that I’m a little concerned is an understatement. I love Beyonce as much as the next person and only wish good things for her but unfortunately I am beginning to wonder if her reign at the top has come to an end. Though nothing can be truly said until her new album 4 is released later this month but we can speculate and form opinions.
