And with that I introduce you to twenty-three year old Mrs Lisa Turner, but its Tophaz to you and I. Rarely are there vocalists, I found, that have the ability and talent to cover songs and personally embroider them. With control, skill and rousing awareness, bodied with individuality, its refreshing to say the least. Nor will I do the predictable and draw compares, a list of who she may sound like. As it really would be quiet unnecessary in this case as I believe she has her own little thing going on. More on the reverse.

TALENT TALENT TALENT is the only word that can describe this guy. The fact that he uses his instrument (his voice) to such good effect in this video makes me sick. Why can’t I do that lol. You may be reading this and thinking what the hell am I going on about right? Well Shakka has done a cover of Beyonce‘s ‘End Of Time’ but this isn’t your regular cover, in this cover Shakka adds complexity by using his instrument (his voice) to create the beat as well as sing the song. Peep the Shakkapella (which was shot by my homie Jamell of House of ALT) after the cut and simply watch in awe.

Beyonce hooks up with J.Cole to shoot the visuals for the second remix of her track, Party. Set in a trailer park garden full of cool friends including Theophilus London, sister Solange, Cassie, Kelly Rowland and others, the video takes it back to the old school with neon outfits, crazy nails and an inflatable pool which really just makes you wish you were there! It’s lovely to see the beautiful Solange making an appearance in this video, it seems Beyonce was feeling rather nostalgic when she decided on the cast for this shoot as even former band mate, Kelly Rowland makes an appearance! Beyonce nearly always deserves to have her video’s posted simply because she is just so damn FINE! However I’m not posting this video with an accompanying glowing review. Personally I thought the video was extremely lazy, granted she is pregnant but that shouldn’t prevent creativity. Jessie J had a broken foot and could move about properly but she managed to deliver an interesting video for ‘Who’s Laughing Now’. Speaking of Bouncy’s pregnancy, erm is it a MYTH or what because her baby bump shape shifts more than Mystique from X-Men. Anywho peep the not so great video for the pretty awesome track after the cut.

Beyonce is a beast. We all know this, she is killing the competition and working as hard or even harder even though she has an excuse to take it easy. Pregnancy doesn’t mean a thang in the world of Mrs Knowles-Carter. Since the highly anticipated announcement that she and husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child Beyoncé hasn’t stopped working. From TV appearances to performances to shooting music videos. In the early hours of this morning her latest music video was released to the world and as ever she smashed it. Dancing and shaking in the video as if the baby bump weren’t there. By no means am I suggesting that she should slow down but I’m just saying that she would be forgiven if she decided to take it easy, however she doesn’t see the need to do this so all I can say is Work it Gurl!
