This young German photographer emailed us via the contact box and I was instantly impressed by the quality of her work. It’s always nice to find a gem amongst all the press crap that lands in my inbox. She focuses on capturing the beauty of people, especially women who are creatively styled. There’s just something so natural and beautiful about her photographs, the vivid colours, light composition and natural lighting come together perfectly. More after the cut.

So here’s the latest Banksy attempt but this time not in the form of 2D art but sculptures. Not just any sculptures, 20-foot tall white hands. They’ve started to emerge in all the major cities around the content and folks just don’t have a clue what/who/why it has been placed there. A pair of hands have showed up in our glorious city just by Covent Garden and what clues are left behind? None really, well other than a QR code which has been placed on them. They all have the same gesture but I’m not really sure what it represents. I’ll take a random guess though – unity? peace? or the number 69? Haha. Told you I was taking a random guess, maybe it creates a shape using shadows. All will be revealed soon apparently. Hop on after the cut for imagery and videos, see if you can decipher its message.

So on my quest to find what I’ve missed out on the passed couple of weeks I found a series of videos of Y&Y favourite Mr. Aloe Blacc. Not only is this session arranged to live classical instruments but the “I Need A Dollar” Crooner does a hauntingly beautiful rendition of the late Micheal Jackson’s “Billie Jean” watch the session filmed at Made in Berlin in its entirety and a documentary about the process after the jump.

Maestro visits the city that is seen as the new creative capital of inspiration, Berlin. This the 3rd stop in his worldwide tour with AdiCup 2010 after visting New York and Tokyo. This episode, you’ll realise you don’t f*ck with Germans when it comes to football, see the world’s first and most probably only Lionel Messi shrine at the No.74 store and my favourite part was the creative space he visits at the end. Another inspiring episode, another place I must visit asap.
