NYC based brand Mishka release photos of their AW10 collection. The lookbook was shot by photographer Takuya Sakamoto, the photos carry the signature Mishka vintage look. I’m feelin’ this collection alot more than previous ones because its a little different to previous seasons, it looks a little less bold in that they have toned down on the use of vibrant colours- they’ve gone with more pastel like colours and the clothing in general boasts more clean cut approach. Even though it’s abit more smart casual, they haven’t compromised the original feel of the brand its just now they have a good mix of Street style. View photos from the lookbook here..

HALB once again has gone all vintage military for their A/W10, the Japanese designer label bring forth a collection very rich in earth tone colours which include alot of brown and what to me looks like really washed out khaki that could also be brown. I like this collection because it’s got that whole ‘Wrangler’ style photography going on where it looks like a video game, the photography is on point. I don’t own many brown items of clothing because I always found it somewhat bland, but actually it looks like something I would wear when I look at these photos. The combination of the boots and combats/cargo pants look pretty interesting. Check out photos of the collection..

This week we were invited down to Gaucho, Piccadilly by Sequal to attend Guess’s press day where we we’re given a sneak peak of the new lines of Guess watches for AW10. An afternoon well spent as we got up close and personal with the different stories that make up the new lines; was a well executed event, the venue was well suited and the presentation of the watches was on point. Read on for more info and photos from the event..

Produced and directed by OMA: Alexander Reichert & Fausto Fantinuoli and photographed by Phil Meech; fashion meets photography meets illustration to create Prada’s AW10 fantasy lookbook. I’m all for ideas that are different and i’m even more for brands that feel no way to think outside the box and do something thats unexpected and original and this is one of those things! I think its brilliant art but does it really serve its purpose as a campaign for a luxury brand? I’m not too sure because I don’t think it really reflects what we’re to expect from the collection. Having said that it’s eye catching an appealing to a certain audience so in that sense it works, have a look at the photos.. what do you think?

I am in love with the photography from this campaign, each photo looks like a still from an action movie an art which I have yet to master- major props to the photographer and stylist of the shoot! I’m also loving the idea behind the campaign, I think having a bad boy character as the face of the campaign works really well with the kind of brand Wrangler is and their target audience. The theme of the shoot is really dark and mysterious reminds me a little bit of Grand Theft Auto. Boasting the usual colour code from previous campaigns, this collection looks quite promising and I’m anxious to see more in the coming weeks. Take a slightly closer look into Wrangler’s Blue Bell campaign for A/W10 with the campaigns official promotional video and more photos…

Mixed reception on this one to be honest. I like this brand, at first glance YMC struck me as a Reiss style brand but with a more casual than smart approach. I havn’t seen the entire collection but if this is supposed to represent what they are going to be dishing out F/W10 then i’m really not impressed.

The fabulous and utterly inspiring designer Tsumori Chisato loves to mix anime and manga influences into mainstream fashion. Her new autumn/winter 2010 collection is quirky and unique with wonderful authentic designs. More after the jump.
