In less than 3 weeks time I’ll be attending a wedding, ya’ll probably thinking what’s so special about you attending a wedding? well this time I’m attending a wedding of a friend’s, I’m clearly getting old. 23 and my friends are already getting married. I’ve already got my suit prepared for the day and surprisingly my look is very similar to that of the guy featured in this dope Heineken advert but I highly doubt I’ll manage to make a similar entrance to him. I haven’t seen most of my friends in around 3 years so this wedding will be a good way to catch up, I’ve changed a lot since then haha. This new Heineken campaign is all about making the perfect entrance…in style – it’s a cinematic masterpiece. More after the cut.

A German job agency called Jobsintown.de has won several international prizes for their creative and innovative ad campaigns. One of which I stumbled upon recently entitled Lifes Too Short for the Wrong Job. They have used a variety of vending machines and covered one complete side with their cleverly depicted posters that show men and women looking distressed and cramped working inside the machine to provide you with your beverage. Check out the pics below.

At 10:15 this following advert will air on over 80 digital and terrestrial television channels across the country but you get to see it exclusively online before then. Over the past few years T-Mobile has re-invented flash mobbing by taking it to a whole new level – first with the Liverpool Street station stand still then over at Trafalgar Square with a massive sing-a-long. Now they’ve taken it to a whole new level in my opinion, the best one yet by taking it upon themselves to welcome back hundreds of travels at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 in their own special way. Look out for the Indian guy ‘Oh ma Gad I can’t believe it’ advert on the flipside.

Sportswear giant Nike have released 2 dope commercials in the past 24 hours – one featuring the so-called selfish traitor, LeBron James and the other featuring his Miami Heat team mate, Dwyane Wade. The first advert is pure genius from W+K; if you haven’t been keeping up with Basketball then you won’t know that LeBron switched from Cleveland Cavaliers to Miami Heat over the summer, a lot of people expected him to move to NYC. By a lot, I mean even Mayor Bloomberg launched a campaign to get the star playing in his state. More after the cut.

Adspiration

posted in advertising by Yin

University has kicked started again so I’ve been bombarded with adverts in class so this post features more adverts than the usual. If ya’ll are lacking inspiration then these should certainly provide. It’s hard to be unique and original these days but one brainwave can change all that.

A good few weeks ago I wrote about Wrangler’s latest campaign “Stop Thinking” did you get involved? If you did then you know that in September Wrangler challenged four innocent people to leap out of a plane at an eye watering 13,000 feet! Wow,  all in the name of a clothing brand…insane! So if you’re one of those crazy dare devil people then you’ll want to get involved in the next Wrangler challenge! Find out what it is after the cut….

Like Nike, Coca Cola are another company that always seems to find creative ways to advertise its products. This latest print campaign by Canadian Agency MacLaren McCann portrays just that using a set of posters and billboards that have straws stuck to them. The photo above shows the 2 models on the ads next to the Coke one reaching out for a drink using their own straws. Genius! more examples after the cut.
