Tom Ford A/W 2010 | Eyewear Campaign
Once again Nicholas Hoult (of Skins Fame) poses alongside a fine looking model for what seems to be a new found relationship between he and Tom Ford. This time round it is turn of this lovely Danish supermodel, who (judging by these pictures) obviously has no problem with baring skin for her profession. A trait that we here at Y&Y appreciate. . Be Stupid. Push The Red Button.
One of my favourite advertising campaigns of the year, Diesel‘s Be Stupid. I spent 5 minutes staring at the poster above, it’s just funny and weird. Something I’d love to recreate at some point myself. One of my friends was actually featured on one of Diesel’s italian adverts; the ad itself is filmed on the London Underground. She looks HOT! advert after the cut.

Nike | Write The Future – #EndAids
Nike just dropped this video from a their on-going campaign with (RED) foundation to fight against AIDS. I love the ‘Lace Up Save Lives‘ campaign, I think it’ll be effective as I don’t see why people who spend over £50 on sneakers can’t spare a few £’s to buy a pair of laces. I know I certainly will as red is my favourite colour. I’ve gained a lot of respect for Drogba after watching the clip, I didn’t know about his foundation. They’re currently in the process of building schools and hospitals. Let’s #EndAids.

Adspiration
It’s been a while again since my last advertising post, the semester is almost over for me and the past few weeks I’ve barely had any classes so I haven’t really been checking advertising much. The only advertising I’ve really been posting are the World Cup related ones, I’m on that WC hype. As usual, I’ve picked out my top 3 adverts from the past week. Peep them after the cut.

adidas Originals: Star Wars™ Cantina 2010 Advert
I’m a straight up nerd when it comes to Star Wars! I have all the films on VHS and DVD. I also own a lightsaber – the blue one of course, I’m not part of the dark side despite my dark tanned appearance (eff you sunshine!). Adidas Originals just unveiled the latest installment of the 2010 Originals campaign and this time they combime a famous Star Wars movie scene, the Mos Eisley Cantina. Advert features David Beckham, Franz Beckenbauer, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Daft Punk and not to mention Hans Solo, Chewbacca. More after the cut.

Nike – Write The Future Campaign
I’ve said it this before and I’ll say it again, Nike never FAIL when it comes to advertising. This new campaign ‘Write The Future’ puts football stars Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo in hypothetical situations that may occur this summer at the World Cup. I for one certainly hope Rooney doesn’t eff up like he does in the advert. The shot of Ribery‘s billboard was pretty amusing. The second advert portrays Ronaldo living up his newly found celebrity status as he has a statue erected in his honour. More adverts after the cut.
