As the weather cools and Winter settles in, adidas by Stella McCartney presents it’s Winter sports collection. The line comprises ski, snowboard and après ski looks as well as outdoor fitness pieces specially designed for workouts in cold weather. The collection is focused around streamlined separates that protect from the chill without compromising on style and features pieces designed to adapt to a variety of cold weather scenarios. Performance fabrics can be layered for varying levels of warmth and protection. High tech fabric using Climawarm and Climaproof Storm for insulation and comfort sit alongside warm fleece and woolen inserts for sleek, hardworking apparel that shields the elements in style. A graphic, experimental look will inject some street cool into an early morning yoga class, with casual stripes blending perfectly with lightly structured shapes. Sensual, feminine pieces bring lingerie inspired details to the studio with tonal charcoal layering and Climacool technology for sustained breathability. Monochrome run pants with Climaproof technology are complemented by chic streamlined accessories.
Stella McCartney says: “I love the winter collection! This season we worked very much with technology, using lots of great materials and engineered pieces. I wanted to celebrate having the energy to get out there and work out; pushing yourself and not sacrificing in any way, shape or form how you look. It’s so important to me that you still look and feel cool at the end of the day when you’re working out.”
I’ve entered Bath Half Marathon which is next March so I’ve got four months to run my ass off in preparation. That’s the plan anyway. Faced with having to train in the freezing cold or pouring rain, adidas Stella McCartney have kitted me out with pieces from the Winter collection, enabling me to enjoy a run whilst staying cool, dry and stylish whatever the weather. The collection is supported by high performance footwear and utility accessories, which reflect the adidas by Stella McCartney aesthetic, while providing specific performance benefits resulting in a chic look. Niran and I headed to Regent’s Park before work a few weeks back to shoot the pieces. If you want to purchase any of them follow the links below.
