Technology is becoming a joke now. First Google are playing around with the idea of augmented reality glasses and now Cybertecture introduce a touchscreen mirror that is compatible with apps. Don’t get me wrong I do love a bit of technology but sometimes things can be a little unnecessary however on the flipside if I were rich then i’d buy all the unnecessary gadgets out there. Maybe i’m just in a foul mood while I write this which is why i’m not enthusiastic. What the video provided on the flipside to learn more about the mirror and the technology it possess, more info can be found here

Google have revealed details of its research into augmented reality glasses. I don’t actually know how to describe whats going on in this video that you are about to see, i’ve literally sat here writing and re-writing this post. I decided that I didn’t know how to fully put into words what I was thinking so instead i’m just going to let you watch this video and assume that you will have the same reaction as me. All that comes to mind having seen the video is WOW imagine if life was really like that, imagine if technology was advance enough to do that, I want that, I gotta have that. If these thoughts run through your mind post viewing then holla at me and let me know, surely I can’t be the only one amazed. If Google manage to some how make this possible, I want to be alive when it happens.

PayPal has come to the iPhone in a major way and will be soon heading to android handsets also. Yesterday saw the announcement of PayPal Here, the world’s first global mobile payments system that enables small businesses to accept almost any form of payment. An app accompanies the service along with a fully encrypted thumb-sized card reader, which converts any iPhone, and as stated before Android smartphone’s in the future, into a mobile payment solution. The new PayPal app for iPhone is available in the App Store now, go get it!

Stumbled came across this lovely new application in my inbox a few days ago. Think Instagram with less filters but with short clips. Well not exactly, video that is later turned into a .gif. You can create wonderful Cinemagraphs like the one above, you all know they’re incredible - just click here to see a previous post of mine. I think this app will do somewhat well but I can see people getting bored of this quick as cinemagraphs take a little while to create in comparison to snapping a photograph and putting it through a filter. Download after the cut.

A week ago Nike once again set the sporting world alight with the unveiling of their latest creation; NIKE+ FUELBAND. With secret NYC parties, innovative trailers and a constant Armageddon type preview on their twitter feed, I really did think that they were about to make the world implode. And then in the middle of a perfect storm, it was unveiled. A band that would track all your movement for the day. Steps, dance moves, drinking apple juice and more.

YES! Finally, iMessage has arrived for the Mac. This is a great news for me, I’m not very fond of typing on my iPhone. Auto-correct and my lack of touch screen skills make it hella difficult to type on there, much prefer the full QWERTY keypad on my Blackberry. iPhone is my social networking phone; has all the functionality in the world. iMessage isn’t BBM – at least I don’t think that was Apple’s aim and definitely not the way I use it anyway. However I do like having the option of replying to my iMessages/texts via my mac; instead of pausing what I’m doing, picking up the phone and typing a message out, all I have to do is type it out on here and click send. Simples. More on the reverse.
