I remember blasting this tune out loud in the summer of 06 so when I stumbled across it in my iTunes library naturally I cranked up the volume. The way I was singing this song in my room this morning as if I wrote the damn thing. Having filled my ears with this musical goodness I now pass it on to you to experience the same joy it gave me. Collie Buddz – ‘Come Around’ after the cut.
Better late than never, right? Spent most of the day in bed, attempting to do work ‘work’, enough of my moaning. Let’s get down to the music, hop on after the cut for a few choices from Tara, DJB and myself.

Taaaaking it back to the good ol’ MSN days with this throwback. I’m sure a lot of you used to have corny ass song lyrics in your name surrounded by a multitude of irrelevant ASCII characters. Well this song is filled with R&B one liners, it’s a happy love song! Let me know if you remember it, listen after the cut.

I’M BACK, will be back to regular posting habits soon. Just been busy working on Photoshop related madness during the past few days. If I’m honest, last week was slow in terms of new music, a fair few of OVERHYPED tracks. Hop on after the cut for some real quality music.

Happy Easter Y&Y readers!! Hope you’re all enjoying the last day of your long weekend of over-indulging in chocolate eggs and roasted lamb with your loved ones. Now, before you start guiltily googling “Dukkan Diet” after consuming the equivalent of Beth Ditto’s weight in Thorntons, check out my scoop on this months best music videos. Yes that’s correct, I’ve had to make Video Jukebox a monthly offering as working, attempting to go to the gym, learning to DJ, obsessing over 30 Rock and partying to Hip Hop is taking over my life and trawling the interwebs for the very best visuals is quite time consuming dontchaknow! Anyway, peep the jump for this months pick of videos including Danny Brown, De La Soul, Norah Jones, Odd Future, Kris Kasanova, Willis Earl Beal, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, Nemo Achida and xxxy. I’m sure there’s quite a few in there that you haven’t seen yet, and certainly won’t catch on MTV!
Hello, it’s been a while since I last posted someone else’s work to get your creative juices flowing. LA-based photographer Dave Hill beautifully captures a variety of music artists in really crisp 35mm and medium format images. A lot of people use B&W as a scapegoat to save their photographs from extreme noise levels of shooting colour in low-light situations but when done properly like this, it’s incredible. Dave’s renowned for his digital cinematic composites and creative Photoshop skills but with this range of photographs, he strips it all away and let’s the tones & shades do the talking. More imagery on the reverse, my favourite has to be the G-Unit & Emery shots!
