This past year Gourmet have become a dominant force in the sneaker world with their simplistic designs. The silhouettes may not be original but they take them, add their own touch and make them wearable. This new collection features a few new models with a mixed colour pallete of conservative toned down colours and more unconventional colours. They’re set to drop towards the end of next month, check out the Gourmet site to find your local stockist.

Yves Saint Laurent have previewed their upcoming 2011 Spring/Summer Footwear Collection with the release of a short video. The collection seems to mainly consist of high top sneakers and chukka boot styles, just my kind of collection. Very simple deigns with a minimalist approach but made with a variety of different materials, enough to make the collection interesting. Peep the video after the jump.

This week we were invited down to Gaucho, Piccadilly by Sequal to attend Guess’s press day where we we’re given a sneak peak of the new lines of Guess watches for AW10. An afternoon well spent as we got up close and personal with the different stories that make up the new lines; was a well executed event, the venue was well suited and the presentation of the watches was on point. Read on for more info and photos from the event..

See I’m not that much into vintage, I’ve always been a bit snobby when it comes to wearing 2nd hand clothing unless they were family hand downs from in my childhood. In recent years, the vintage hype has boomed and everyone has been purchasing vintage pieces from the 50s-90s because you know fashion tends to recycle itself. I think it’s mainly due to the recession! Shop Dutty founders have decided to launch The Gold Mine – a new vintage pop-up store for the folks of Bristol. More details after the cut.

Yes we all know that it’s that time when every designer brand begins to show what they have in store for us in the coming season. Bottega Veneta is next to show off a collection and this time round it is their men’s Fall/Winter 2010 Footwear collection. The collection offers a very nice variety of dress shoes, sneakers, boots and even slippers made from a mixture of different materials which include leather, velvet, suede and patent leather. Shoe price ranges from $390 to $1,250. Check out a few shoes from the collection after the cut.

All the lucky nerds who attended Comic-Con last week got a chance to immerse themselves in their comic book memorabilia and movie culture. I saw these posted on various sites last week but waited for a better photo (yes, I’m picky with photo quality). They are the upcoming TRON x adidas Collection and both these sneakers light up. As a child may parents never bought me LA Gear kicks so I think I’ll buy myself a pair of these. I think it’s a pretty dope idea to partner with movies, remember the Hell Boy collaboration. More photos after the cut.

Having just touched down from sunning it up in Tenerife I have noticed that my steps aren’t as light as they used to be (my weighing scales confirm this!). So it’s back on the whole dieting flex. This time round I have devised my own plan to eat less carbs, no sweets (goodbye Hershey’s Kisses) and to start running!
