A Cliff House in Kerala

I stumbled across the main photo on a site and instantly thought that has to be in Kerala. For those that don’t already know, I’m Indian and my parents are from home a small state down south called Kerala. I’ve been there a good dozen times and pretty much hate going with family as all we ever do is visit unknown relatives. This house is nothing like I’ve seen there in all my visits, the architecture is simply amazing. Houses there are usually quite traditional and hell of a lot bigger than the average house here, in fact probably double the size. More photos on the flipside.

Digital Painting | The Recreation

I don’t even know what type of introduction to write about this particular post. I was just browsing the internet as you do and I stumbled across this video. It shows how a photograph can be recreated from scratch using photoshop. All I can say is that I found it amazing; I’m in awe and to be honest slightly envious that I am not able to do this. I think a hard practise session on photoshop is in order. Please take a look at the vid and give me your feedback.

The Original Hipster by Julia Chesky

When we think of hipster we usually think of people among the ages of 20′s- 30′s who think they’re “cool”, listen to the best music, go to tons of parties, and often think they can dress even when they happen to be wearing three million trends all at once. Because they’re  that cool. I’m going to assume we have seen one before. You can usually spot them from a mile away. But because of the contradictory ways, making it difficult to define what a “hipster” is. Parsons Graduate Julia Chesky presents her series of photographs entitled “The Original Hipster“. The series shows the easy, effortless styling of homeless model Chris. More after cut.

B.o.B x T.I. x Complex Magazine

I’m complex like the magazine. Here’s the two latest back covers of the upcoming issue of Complex. The other side is actually occupied by infamous celebrity waste woman, Lindsay Lohan. I refuse to post her cover on the site, she’s not worthy. However I’m loving these 2 covers, both very creative with the artwork on top of the photos. I want to experiment with something similar, full resolution works after the cut.

More of Ben Heine’s Pencil vs Camera

Remember I posted some of Ben Heine‘s work a couple of months ago? Well he’s dropped some more artwork from his ‘Pencil vs Camera’ series. It’s such a clever concept and it’s been executed perfectly by him. Definitely dope, view the rest after the cut.

Get To Know Nick Gentry

I am a little late with this but I still had to go ahead and post it. The picture above is a sneak peak at artwork which can only be described as pure dopeness.  I came across this today and I fell in love with it and just had to share. Nick Gentry has undoubtedly captured and infused a sense of nostalgia for obsolete media with extraordinary artistic talent. Using the humble and once ridiculously abundant floppy disc, Nick Gentry creates a canvas on which he carves out beautiful monochrome portraits with a splash of colour. More amazing pieces of art after the cut.
