It’s been a while since my last Adspiration post, I’ve been slacking. I haven’t really bothered checking for new campaigns, it’s bad especially since I’m a Creative Advertising student who’s going into final year in October. Eeek. Here are my favourite adverts from the past few weeks, peep them on the flipside.
Palladium Presents Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal in these exclusive videos as they share with us how and why they like to be authentic and original in terms of personal taste and style; the duo also unearth their music tastes, the people they look up to and things that bring them inspiration. The video is shot near Spitalfields in an empty warehouse in the trendy district of Shoreditch. Sporting Palladium Boots, Daisy and Alice urge you to join Palladium’s movement promoting originality and flair in fashion. Watch the videos here!

HP introduces the first ever laptop built for music. With the help of Dr. Dre, HP was able to build a line of computers with Beats Audio technology which enables you to hear the music the way the artist intended. If you listen real close you can hear the NMC tags featured on Dr. Dre and Jay-Z’s Under Pressure. The commercial almost has you wondering if it’s a play on the release of Detox kind of like a foreshadowing. More after the cut.

Genius and it’s so well made. This should really go in my Adspiration post but I felt it deserved a post of it’s own. HP have used consistent reliable printouts from their Photosmart printers to narrate a little story by speeding them up until they animate. It must have been a pain staking process to get all the printouts to come out at the right time! but from the end result it’s definitely worth it. Video after the cut.

Remember Livestrong? hmm maybe not but I know ya’ll definitely remember the yellow wristbands that came out at the same time as the black & white of the ‘Stand-up, Speak-up’ campaign. Nike have dropped a new advert, dubbed “Engine” for the LIVESTRONG movement and it features the founder Lance Armstrong. I quite like how they captured his thoughts and build process as he engages in his craft. Video after the jump.

Time for my top 3 adverts of the past week or fortnight considering I’m always late with these posts. A new Old Spice advert premiered earlier this week and it’s damn funny just like the others. That and a few other dope advertising campaigns after the cut.

Once again Nicholas Hoult (of Skins Fame) poses alongside a fine looking model for what seems to be a new found relationship between he and Tom Ford. This time round it is turn of this lovely Danish supermodel, who (judging by these pictures) obviously has no problem with baring skin for her profession. A trait that we here at Y&Y appreciate. .
