How many of you made a conscious decision to exercise more this year? Running it seems has never been so popular. I recently challenged myself to run (jog) a mile a day to get my lazy ass into the routine of it. If at the end of a week I’ve managed to run seven miles, that’s seven miles more than usual! Baby steps!

The other day, whilst shopping online, err I mean studying, I came across the current range from DKNY and had to resist clicking *add to my bag* on a gorgeous two hundred and fifty pound skirt. *Sigh* So, and in keeping with the recent NYC theme on Y&Y, here’s a look at the Spring lookbook from DKNY. Donna Karen launched DKNY over twenty years ago, and it has since grown from it’s denim origins into the New York street smart go-to label. This season there’s a lot of strong contrasts between textures, shapes and colours, but with a relaxed vibe. If you’re brave enough to try the current trend of head-to-toe colour or pattern, check out the lookbook after the break to see how effortless and cool it can be.

In case you didn’t already know, I recently attended the adidas Training Academy in Mexico. Whilst out there, we got to participate in a boxing inspired workout session with world renowned trainer, Ashley Conrad, who is one of the most sought after fitness trainers in Hollywood, and her clients include Kate Hudson and Bradley Cooper.

Y&Y is going to Mexico! Arriba! Thanks to the good people over at WeAreSocial, and our own Jazz, today I’ll be flying out to Mexico City to take part in the Adidas Training Academy. Uh-mazing!! Over the next five days I’ll be participating in boxing inspired training, and yoga and dance classes, all of which will be led by a internationally recognised trainer. Adidas want to enable and inspire us to achieve our personal goals in sport through training by supporting us with innovative products, services and athlete insights. With the London Olympics just around the corner, this year is huge for sport and more and more people are appreciating how important it is to lead an active lifestyle. I’m excited to see what Adidas have to bring to the table. Check back next week to find out how the trip went and what I got up to whilst out there!

Can’t believe it’s already been three months since I went to Myla‘s press day last year. Big shout out to Anastasia Ivanova for inviting me to come down. With Valentines Day just around the corner, it’s about time I put this post up! Myla is one of the UK’s leading luxury lingerie brands, and if you take a look at the collection you’ll see why. For Spring/Summer 2012 Myla continues to offer an array of beautiful everyday luxury lingerie and sleepwear in a selection of feminine styles and colours. New for the season there are directional fashion shapes and exciting new colourways for the classic styles.
