This might as well be called @imDJB‘s post! He’s found some real quality songs for y’all on the flip reverse. That Diplo-produced song is definitely in there, you know which one I’m talking about. Baby-making music. Have a listen!

USHER x DIPLO
‘Climax‘
I don’t actually know how to put into words how I feel about this song. All I can say is that since it hit the net earlier this week I have played it at least 10 times everyday. The vocals on this song, especially his falsetto, are just too much. Diplo done the damn thang on the production, producing a somewhat electro soul type of instrumental. Nobody can’t tell me my name ain’t Usher when this song is playing because I sing my ass off like my last name is Raymond lol.
I believe the song is to be release in April ahead of the release of a much needed new Usher album.

IMAN OMARI
‘Worth It‘
Shout out to the family over at Pinboard for yet again putting me onto an artist that I’ve never heard of. Although music is very much a core part of Y&Y’s foundation, we’re not a music site – I suggest you bookmark their site. It’s a must, for your ear’s sake.
Iman Omari‘s soulfully smooth vocals over this lo-fi beat just works for me, perfect for the office. Dare I say his music reminds me of a certain Toronto native (minus the cocaine)? Download the mixtape here and get acquainted. I have.

KENDRICK LAMAR
Slap me. I’ve slept on this guy’s music for far too long. I downloaded the last album and DELETED it after one quick spin through, made a quick judgement that I didn’t like his voice and proceeded with trash canning it. His flow is just… something else. Most of the rhymes flew over my head and this song is no exception to that statement. This epic 7 minute long song is elementary hood sh*t. Incredible.

DAMIAN MARLEY
To me Damian Marley is kind of a wonderfully weird entity. I say this because I don’t really check for him or his music as I do many other artists, yet somehow he releases these tracks that just resonate with my eardrums and instantly become a favourite of mine. ‘Affairs of the Heart’ is the lead single to be taken from his forthcoming album. The accompanying music video was also released this week so click here if you want to watch it.

ESTELLE
Wonderful Life is one of those joyful uplifting songs that just put a smile on your face. The three singles that Estelle have released to her American audience have just been pure class. They have got me really excited for this new All Of ME album however the single she chose to serve her European and UK fans is not the one. I feel she has jumped on the electro dance vibe and it seems very forced and contrived. Wonderful Life is very much the opposite of forced and contrived that is why it works.>
