With the hundreds of fashion labels out there, it’s easy to forget the one that started it all…in terms of Denim that is! Levis pay homage to their beginnings through the recently launched ‘Levis Vintage Clothing‘ website. The site works both as an encyclopedia on all things Levis Denim from the conception 501 right down to a directory for latest Levis Vintage Clothing collections and stockists. The Levis brand holds so much history, to be honest it’s about time they launched something of the kind- would have made life easier for me during A Level business studies that’s for sure…God I AM old! Anyway, the quality of the content is equally matched by the website’s design and though an obvious requirement, I really like the vintage look and feel along with the use of pasty/pastel shades.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA – that is all. FouseyTube aka Yousef Erakat is a 22 year old college student and YouTube comedian. If you’ve ever come across his videos before then you’ll know he’s incredibly funny and this video is no exception. If you are/were a Drake fan then you should be cracking up each one of these, the handflapping technique had me in tears. Can’t even decide on which part is the funniest, it’s all funny! Watch it on the reverse.

A few years ago if you told me about Wrangler‘s lookbook coming out, I wouldn’t have the care in the world. In the past 2 years, the brand’s identity has changed – new creative director perhaps? Whoever it is, his/her work has been glorious. Each and every season has had good campaigns with memorable imagery – red, stunt and we are animals. This time round, it’s much more toned down and not your cliché lifestyle shoot with the folks walking in the countryside but with a twist. The lookbook is impeccable, natural lighting shot imagery filled with a range of action shots to highlight the comfort of the clothing. The clothing? BLEH – it doesn’t excite me, not the menswear anyway. The womenswear jackets are nicely constructed whereas the same can’t be said for most of the men’s jackets, the fit is a bit odd. I’m no Denimologist (making up words) so you’ll have to judge the quality of the selvedge. There is nothing really ‘edgy’ about the clothing. Hop on after the cut to peep it all.

Dope Quote #36

posted in other by Yin

Why were there no posts from me over the weekend? Simple answer – lack of focus. I took on too much work and priorities wise, Y&Y fell down the shipping order. Sad but true – client work took priority :( blessed for the opportunity that I was given so had to dedicate time to that task to ensure the end result was on point. So expect a burst of posts in the next few days from me, hopefully. Tyler Perrys latest vlog inspired me to write this post; in the video he urges us to narrow our focus down to ONE AREA, work hard to make it work and everything else will fall into place. Bit of an extended Dope Quote here, hop on after the cut.

So on Saturday was a day of two half for me. Having woke up after a deep and meaningful sleep that lasted all of 1 hour I headed down to the studio (photography studio), still intoxicated, to meet Yin. After the shoot was done I took my ass home and slept for a lil bit. Having returned to being a fully functioning human being I then took my self down to the second studio shoot of the day where I again met up with Yin. We had no business being on set really other than just to be there but it was good just to be in the presence of such talented people. Olan was busy doing his thing behind the camera creating his next Cardy Films masterpiece while Joel Baker and Monique Sian were busy looking pretty and showing off their acting skills. If you guys aren’t familiar with Joel and Monique then take a peak at our previous Eargasms post but before you do that just watch the visuals that Olan has crafted. May I just add that this was shot on Saturday, his turnaround is crazy I don’t know how he does it.

These days it is quite rare to hear a song that instantly makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. So when you do, you need to sit up and pay attention. This is exactly how I felt when I heard ‘I want you‘, the debut single of New Orleans newcomer Luke James. The falsetto of the chorus is just wow. As for the video-well I can’t find words! Just hot. Peep the video after the jump.
