Weekly Wisdom - We are not meant to be perfect. We are meant to be whole.

Wired is one of, if not the best night for live music in London in my opinion. You see both unsigned and signed acts, some you’ve heard of and others you haven’t. It’s a great place for many things such as discovering new talent or simply networking with other attendees. However the video below looks at another side of Wired in regards to helping others.

In the short film below, we see the other good things that Michael Duke, Kate Bond and there team do for music. They recently held a special night in partnership with Kids Company to help raise money which you can seen from the visual. Their website reads:

“Welcome to our new Child Poverty Busting Programme that is designed to address the poverty issues of 5,000 children by matching their needs to the support of 5,000 volunteers. Every week we encounter families in hardship, often the victims of circumstances beyond their control. We find hungry, sad, children surviving in squalor and deprivation. Thankfully, we give children the beds and duvets they’ve never had, decorate and replenish their depleted environments and create clean, basic conditions. Their smiles of joy when we’ve finished signal a fresh start that transforms a child’s life.”

The Kids Company was first mentioned here by Yang. You can also learn more about the Kids Company in that post as well as finding out ways in which you can help raise funds.
