22-year-old Travis Tatum Mills who is more commonly known as T. Mills released his free album ‘Leaving Home’ under Colombia records back in July, but it’s only recently I’ve become aware of him after hearing single ‘Hollywood’. The track, which features Colin Munroe, prompted me to download the 10-song cd.

The track which has the potential to be released as an official single both in the States and here tells the story about a female who doesn’t see what she has in front of her as she’s blinded by all the glitter and gold Hollywood has to offer. A strong hook from Munroe and some smooth synth production are the highlights here. The aforementioned song below should be enough to convince you to download the free album.
The album itself took 6-8 months to make and is a very good effort for a first album considering the artist only started uploading online vidoes when he was 19/20. Mills who says he inspires himself, only recently began writing and making his own music in his bedroom so it’s some achievement.
The rest of the year will comprise of the rapper dropping several videos off ‘Leaving Home’, but for now check out his official video for ‘She’s Got A…” and download the free Columbia album here.
Mills uses far too much auto tune for my liking, but he does interest me as a young artist and has some decent songs. I also like the fact he started writing and making his own music from his bedroom. He’s a self made man and I’m intrigued to see what lies in store for Travis. Let us know what you think of T. Mills.
