When one chapter ends another one begins. During most fictional readings and even those hard hitting autobiographies as a reader we experience high and lows and that’s what keeps us gripped. Well I can say I have had one of those weeks where emotions have been scattered all over the place as if somebody was playing pinball with my life.

They say your uni days are the best days of your life, right? No wrong, they are not. Well at least not for me. Granted I do not regret my decision to go on to higher education, in fact I encourage it I just don’t encourage anybody to emulate my work ethic (especially in my final year).
I’m not going to sit hear and bore you to death with random memories of uni or a well-deserved crusade on my uni and its lack of organisation. Instead I will merely comment of the eventful week I’ve just had. Deadlines Deadlines Deadlines would be the name of this chapter and my god what a chapter it would be. Late nights and Early Mornings is a perfect way to describe what occurred. I have never research and written so much in my life only to then read what I’ve done and start it all over again.
Marsha Ambrosius – Late Nights and Early Mornings
With the clock tick toking away my and eyes burning from the lack of sleep my hands kept churning out letter after letter until everything was complete. May 19th, deadline day, comes around and I’ve handed in all my work, chilling with Yin & Yang when BANG! stress knock on my front door. Stress coming in the form of helping out a friend in need with their work, getting everything in order so that she to could enjoy the blissful energy that me and the guys we enjoying until she shook that outta our system. Though it may sound like I’m complaining I’m actually not, I’m just stating what happened. Helping her wasn’t a problem because we didn’t want her to fail due to a stupid technicality such as lateness.
Moving the story on a bit, its time to let loose and get drunk. And boy did we drink. 4 cocktails, 8 shots, 3 JD and coke’s, 1 cider and about 4 other drinks that were bought and all that was just my intake. Yang had his fair share too but somehow we managed to still be present in the company of other people. The same couldn’t be said for others, just take a look at the pic below for proof. Sorry Shawn to bait you up like this.
Some of you maybe thinking that this post has started to drift off into oblivion right about now but don’t worry I’m going to bring it back together and tie it up nicely with what was said in the first paragraph.
Having come off the amazing high that is finish uni for good, comes the news that my driving licence has been suspended until further notice for failure to turn up to a court date which was a result of speeding (yes my fault I know). Why would I miss the court date you may ask, well it was on the same day as my Uni deadline day so I had to put things into prospective, Degree or Car. When you think of the situation from that point of view there’s no contest, so I did what I had to do. But talk about being a freaking anti climax, you have the amazing feeling of feeling free and ready to start your life only to be brought back down to earth with a shitty thing like that and it makes you think oh shit this is real life now. No security blanket in the form of student life, on top of the fact that I have just left home so I my parents although are there, they’re not there.
Am I ready for this? Do I read on and find out what happens at the end or do I put a bookmark at the point and stop until I’m ready to continue? Unfortunately this is where the comparisons to a book ends because life doesn’t wait for no one and I don’t want to be left behind trying to play catch up. I’ve gotta turn the page and continue on however at this moment in time the remaining pages are blank and it’s up to me to turn them into a worth while story. So here goes…………………….
I’ll end this post with a couple of songs that have been the soundtrack of my life this week. Enjoy!
Yasmin – Finish Line
Adele – Chasing Pavements
Jay-z feat Swizz Beatz – On To The Next One
