Along with the womenswear review, we also managed to shoot the menswear from All Saints Spring/Summer collection. Yang and I got our pose on…well he did, I’m very awkward in front of the camera. I prefer to be behind it! must invest in a camera remote so I can take photographs of myself #vain. More on the reverse.

Brand History
All Saints have been around since 1994 but only started receiving mainstream success 2-3 years ago. The name of the company refers to All Saints Road in Notting Hill that is notorious for its artistic and musical associations. At the start, the brand were known for their sharp tailoring, fine knits and signature washed leathers in their menswear collections. Their womenswear took influences from that and injected sexiness into all that with the ‘boyfriend‘ look. They only really blew up in the past 5 years (well from what I’m aware of!) thanks to their ‘heroin chic‘ look. That’s what my fashion friend described it as. I’d describe it as post-grunge, distressed, almost punk rock look. Now the company has over 70 stores nationwide and also sell accessories, children’s clothing and decorative furnishings.
Location
We were lucky enough to shoot on rooftop of the Soho Collective building. Props to Truffle PR ladies for letting us use it. Luckily the weather was spot on as it’s a Spring/Summer shoot, we definitely needed some sun. Pretty sure I tanned (roasted) a bit that day.
Clothes
I’ve been a fan of their clothes for a while but admittedly I only own one item and guess what it is? A pair of leather finger less gloves HAHA. The prices are a little expensive, £70 for these shorts. I am yet to buy shorts my holiday next week! My main gripe with the price is the fact its the same price as a pair of chinos/trousers. How does that work? When shorts are only half the length, material and probably time to manufacture. Hmm. Enlighten me.
I was styled in the corduroy Char Ban Shirt and a Lewes shorts. The colour combination of grey and blue went really well together, although I wish I had left the shirt unbuttoned. The Char Ban shirt has classic western detailing with shaped yokes, pocket flaps and definitely with classic AllSaints worn out look. It’s perfect for the summer! plain white v-neck or a graphic print tee plus this shirt on top unbuttoned. Can you picture it?
The Lewe Shirts are a the perfect length, not too short or not too long. Flat front with a button fly and nice pocket detailing. It’s slightly distressed with a crush finish. £75.00 for these, I’m tempted. Oh my look was completed by my navy Ben Sherman desert boots.
Take over Yang…
Here I’m wearing the ‘Lex Funnel’, a dark grey knit with a funnel neck, the top is medium weight so it’s also quite light and I wore the ‘Burn Skood’ shorts. Both different shades of grey, I added a pale blue Henley style t-shirt underneath to break up the grey. To complete the look, we chucked in a pair of distressed boat shoes in a chocolate brown diversifying the looks colour pallete.
I’m wearing the ‘Lewes Jacket’, a navy blazer that is a fine mix of cotton and linen so it’s very lightweight so it’s perfect for outerwear in the summer. The 2 buttoned, single-breasted jacket is lined with a pinstripe pattern homing in on the vintage look. Blazers are supposed to be part of formal attire but in past seasons we’ve seen it dressed down and thrown into looks which coins a great casual smart ensemble.
Underneath I am wearing the ‘Warspite S/s Crew’, a misty based t-shirt with a photographic print design. The look is quite simple and relaxed, coupled with the ‘Burn Skood’ shorts – a vintage inspired pair with twisted seams in a rusty grey colour. These shorts cover just over the knee but though they’re a regular fit, they are still slightly tapered towards the end, which we like- I have bought similar garments this week to replicate it!
Random Shots
Right back to me and that’s all for folks with this review. Not as many photographs as our previous ones but will make up for it in our next shoot. I’ll leave you with a few out takes from the shoot.
