My homeland is 54 today and at the risk of repeating myself, for some people this day is an excuse to go ‘raving’ and others don’t particularly care but for me it has always been about celebrating my heritage and the things that I love about it (because I complain about it on all the other days of the year). I was brought up in a strict Ghanaian household and it taught me alot about life which has aided my moving out 3 years ago and for that I am very proud! Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Ghanaians, hope you’ll have a good one. Listen to the national anthem after the cut.
