I’ve been a fan of The Streets since I hit my teen years and first recognized good music, back in early years of high school watching “Weak Become Heroes” on MTV2 before school. For those that don’t know, The Streets is a moniker for Mike Skinner; a creative rapper/producer if I had to choose who his more famous counterpart who you all would have heard of, I would liken him to Kid Cudi in the sense that his lyrics are a lot more personal and have meaning (most of the time) and he does this with eclectic sounds. After the cut catch his last album – Computers and Blues and his other creative offerings.

Mike Skinner has always been a man of doing things himself and you’ll find the internet played a big part in this with his random Youtube videos releasing his own iPhone app asking you to scan a heinz beanz barcode to download his mixtape! To releasing his album to listen on Hype Machine and taking over The Guardian Online Music Section for a week.

What do you guys think is this the last we’ll see of The Streets?
Me I think He’ll lose his moniker but I don’t think it’s the last we’ll see of Skinner regrettably it won’t the Skinner of the old, his first two albums to be precise but he still has a lot more creativity than a bunch of current artists out there
