Most famously known for her controversial videos Miss Badu has decided to tone it down a little for her new video Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her act so conservative! A very stark contrast from her naked ‘Window Seat’ video which I believe she is still on probation for.

This much awaited single comes shortly after the news that she is to be inducted into the coalition of the Core DJ’s (pretty dope huh?). Flying Lotus directed the clip which takes Badu on a futuristic blue print journey through some sort of spaceship factory. Meanwhile she sings about her man being gone to long because he’s out on the streets hustling. I don’t think I could have ever imagined a more different video to the lyrics. But the visuals are immense and take you on a mind trip similar to the Michael Jackson ‘Leave Me Alone’ video. She is definitely pushing the boundaries and raising the bar of creativity with this one. Check it out.
