Afro beats and Kwaito are African genres that I like and so I thought I would share some songs, listen as they are awesome. The first is by Mos Def & Femi Kuti, the second is by Professor and the final by Kabelo, enjoy!

Music News Monday this week is short and sweet a bit like this introduction. Lil Wayne, Adele, Britney Spears, Chris Brown and something from Billboard all feature in today’s post. Have a look after the cut.

The folk over at Moxy Creative have done it again with a new set of movie posters illustrating key moments in each movie using alcoholic drinks. My favourite has to be The Hangover one featuring the rufflin incident in the film with Alan and his ‘blood brothers.‘ Totally random but I have to link you to this scene in the movie, probably my favourite. After the cut for a few of my favourites.

I’m a graphic designer, 90% of my work is digital based – I haven’t really used the traditional design methods since high school. My tools = Adobe Creative Suite. Iabakidy Natanaël who goes by the name of IK-YD has most definitely mastered this art. I can’t find any information on this digital artist, even his/her portfolio site doesn’t have an ‘about me‘ section. The composition of the work is incredible; great mixture of shapes, vibrant colours, photography and striking textures. It all comes together really well, definitely has that explosive factor to it. Peep more on the flipside.

This is what I need! I have way too many wires all tangled up in my room; iPhone, Blackberry and Mac Chargers + monitor, speakers and the rest. You can imagine how annoying it is untangling all that shiznit. The other day I came across this Energizer product on Mashable that charges your mobile phones wirelessly! all you have to do is place your iPhone/Blackberry on the shiny black surface and voila! it recharges it for you. Magic ey? The future? quite possibly. Apple and RIM will hate this if this takes off, who would buy their overpriced chargers when they can just get one of these babies. More technical bits and imagery on the reverse.

101 Bishopsgate also known as Heron Tower is the tallest skyscraper in the City of London. It’s part of a plaza being constructed by Heron International , it’ll incorporate new public spaces, squares and gardens. The company have already signed terms with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to develop their spaces here. Pretty sure this place is for all ya’ll rich folk who flyover frequently for business meetings. Perfect location.

I was supposed to post this much earlier but due to a combination of excessive drinking, loud music and tiredness I failed to deliver this on time. Here we have the new music video for friend of the site Jessie J‘s newest single ‘Price Tag’. The B.O.B assisted track is taken from her forthcoming debut album and is more of a reflection of who Jessie is as an artist and what we can expect from the album. The hard hitting ‘Do It Like A Dude’ was an introduction to the mainstream and now ‘Price Tag’ is it’s mellow counterpart. Peep the video on the flipside.
